Our air conditioner was out, it was hot as hell. The repair man who couldn't fix it said it had been that way for a while but they still rented out the room. If it wasn't for that the stay would have been just fine.

Real fancy place for being in Bakersfield the rate for a weekend was not bad and the hole inside of the hotel is very up to date great place to stay I STAYED ON THE 7TH FLOOR AND YES THE HOTEL IS HUNTED! !!!!! NO B.S. Other then that great place

We had a fabulous time , enjoying the room and the restaurants. Staff for the hotel and restaurants were very helpful , friendly and professional.

We stayed at the Padre for a wedding. Our room was smallish, bench at end of bed, desk and chair. Had Kuerig coffee maker- a plus for us! The bed was comfy. We had lunch at the Restaurant one day- a little pricy, but, good tasting. We parked in the parking structure next to the hotel.. No more than $10/in a 24 hour period. They also have valet parking for $10/night.

One of the best beds I have slept on. Good restaurants and great bar scene. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

What a delight finding this sophisticated and charming hotel in Bakersfield. Great public spaces, bars and restaurant, wonderful design and distinctive artwork throughout. Loved the decor, loved the staff. My only tiny negative comment was the sound of the air conditioner humming outside our window. Other than that, thumbs up for the Padre Hotel.

Clean, upscale boutique hotel but no pool or fitness center from what I could tell.

Loved this hotel! Beautiful amenities, bar, overall a great experience!

Gem of a place to stay in Bakersfield. The decor is lovely - hip, modern cowboy style. Great food options on site and across the street. Lovely rooms in which everything has been so well designed and executed on. Staff was kind and professional. To me, the Padre was the perfect hotel. If I could stay at the Padre everywhere I went, I would!

This could have been an amazing, dog-friendly stay in a cool looking hotel with friendly staff. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room that had the door bell connected to the Fire Alarm. Hence, when room service delivered, the fire alarm went off, scaring my dog (and I) badly - multiple times. Most dogs are startled by loud noises, mine is no exception. Eventually, room service got the bright idea to knock and I anwered the foor - afterall, I had no idea why the fire alarm kept going off. So, I answered the door and was told that I had been placed in an ADA room that had this arranged for people who were hard of hearing - I can't imagine this would be enjoyable or valuable to them either but what do I know. My dog was literally shaking the rest of the night while I tried unsuccessfully to calm her down. It was a miserable, silly experience and could have been very easily avoided - if the front desk person had simply alerted me to this condition beforehand. Defintely will not be returning.

Stayed here for 1 night but it was a wonderful night. The restaurants, the bar and the staff were all above all expectations. And OMG the bed! I've never slept so well! I'm going to get the same for my own at home! Will definitely stay here again!

I like this hotel and usually stay here when in the area on business. My room during my last visit was really tiny, like Manhattan tiny. The bed was really comfortable, great shower and clean room so once I got beyond the limited space, my stay was fine.

This is our 3rd stay at The Padre, & this is the only hotel I'd recommend in Bakersfield! The staff is accommodating & very helpful! However if you do get a room on the same side as Prairie Fire, be prepared to be up until midnight. If there is a wedding going on at Prairie Fire you can always call the front desk and ask them to turn it down, & they will remedy the problem. Also, if you need just about any accommodation in your room, staff is always more than willing to help you out. We'll definitely be back, maybe not on the same side, but for sure same hotel!

This is a great hotel with accessible restaurants and night clubs within walking distance. Room was clean and met expectations. Room was on the side of 18th street, and was quite. Haven't had a problem with loud music from night club yet, this is our 2nd stay. I'd recommend this hotel if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Bakersfield that is clean, local nightlife but privacy is given when you walk into the room.

My stay at the padre hotel was overall a great experience. Very clean, luxurious room. The bed was ridiculously comfortable! Felt like you were sleeping on a cloud. Bathroom was nice and tidy, great tiling in the shower. My only complain is that when I ordered from room service they sent me the wrong sandwich. And it took well over 30 minutes to send up a prepacked sandwich. I was really hungry and did not want to wait so I let it slide, but it would've been nice to eat what I ordered and wanted. Other than that, everything else was great. I would definitely stay here again.

LOVED THE ROOM VERY COMFY AND THE HOT TUB MADE FOR AN AWESOME ROMANTIC SETTING.

Great hotel and experience. Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and modern. Great bars around the corner and rooftop deck.

Cool hotel, located in the blighted area of downtown Bakersfield. Nothing to do outside of the place. Caters mostly to weddings and the nite club on the first floor. If you are coming back to the hotel late be prepared to wade through the sea of party people. Water pressure suffers the higher up you go. Two streets in each direction is meth lane. Bar located on first floor has friendly staff but food choices are limited. I was in town for just one evening so no big deal. It gets an scoring of 7

This hotel is great if you're headed to Bakersfield and don't want to be bored. There's not much to do in the surrounding city/area, but everything you need is in the hotel. They have a coffee bar, sports bar, fine dining, club, and outdoor terrace bar. We stayed on a Saturday night and our hotel was the place to be!

A perfect place to break up the long drive from the coast to Death Valley. Great drink and food at the bar and restaurant. All that was lacking was an HD MI connection on the TV.
