Low price with a lot of amenities. I was very surprised at how much was available and for the price of the Motel 6 in essence. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody traveling the area. Also, it’s unique and has history which is always more interesting than your run-of-the-mill Marriott ...
I was visiting Bakersfield for a soccer tournament. I decided to stay at the Marriott because it has a reputation of having awesome rooms and a friendly staff. I decided to treat my family to a suite since it was our first time in Bakersfield and because I wanted my 11 year old son to feel special since this was his first State championship game. After dinner, we arrived at our suite early since we were anticipating getting up early (6:00 AM) for the game. At approximately 8:00 PM, a large group decided to have a gathering around the fire pit. The fire pit area was next to our bedroom window. As the night progressed, I heard more people joined the group which amplified the sounds of them talking and laughing. At 10:30 PM, I called the front desk to report the incident to management which they responded but only asked them to lower the music. At 11:00 PM, I called the front desk again and told them I couldn't sleep because of the music and the group. Only after the second call from me, the staff asked the group to turn off the music. I was disappointed with our stay. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep due to the incident. Your facility was great. I enjoyed the layout of the rooms, they were very clean and comfortable. If it wasn't for this incident, I would've really enjoyed my stay at the Marriott. I expected more from your hotel. These types of issues I would expect from a Motel 6 or Travel lodge, not from a Marriott Hotel.
Friendly staff. Very convenient location. Cable, decent wi-fi in rooms.
This place was horrible I will never stay there again.
The ladies all were so nice and helpful. Me and my daughter arrived after 2am and knowing the checkout was at 11am I accidentally overslept i called the office explaining how me and my daughter got there late and if we can have extra time to get ready and without any problems or any questions one of the ladies whom I was speaking with right away gave me an extra hour which was a big help!!
