Courtesy extended by the staff. Wish there were some minor amenities in room due to covid (plastic silverware, napkins) since eating out is a mixed bag.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly. However, the hotels had garbage in all the hallways, the pool was freezing and not clean.

It is all about the perspective. The hotel I stayed in after this was not the best so I obviously have to give this higher rating. Regardless it was not a bad place to stay.

The hotel was good, quick checkin and checkout. No issues as such and I don't expect too much for a two night stay. Breakfast buffet wasn't complimentary which was a bummer. Otherwise it's a good hotel.

The main issue we had with this hotel is the false advertisement of the fitness amenities. On the website they advertise 2 floors of nautilas equipment, aerobics, jogging/walking track, strength training and fitness room. Well I never saw nautilas equipment, no aerobics, jogging/walking track. If they refer to strength training as part of the fitness room its a joke. I went into the so called fitness room, and there was 2 treadmills, 1 elipitical, 2 bicycles, and various weight equipment. Out of all that, only 1 treadmill worked. None of the other equipment worked. I booked my stay here based on that I would be able to work out daily. I was here for 6 days. I got to work out one day. Because every time I went in to work out on the ONE treadmill, it was being used. I spoke to a desk person and told them, they said that I would have to speak with the general manager, who was not in until after 8:30am. When I came back in the evening, I spoke with the night manager and gave her my room number and she said she would have the general manager contact me. The GM never contacted me. Since I booked through Orbitz, and that the room was prepaid that I had to go through Orbitz to get any type of credit. The internet service was really poor, I ended up using almost all my data plan. I will never stay here again.

This is my new go to hotel when I visit Bakersfield. Traveling alone I pay attention to places that I feel safe in. This hotel is clean, the staff is nice and it is in a good location. Price is important too.

The room was big a king bed in a separate room from the two queen beds the bathroom was big plenty of space

The staff was very, very nice and the hotel was comfortable but you can see that the hotel is a little older and could use a renovation.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and loved it. On this trip however I went to 4 different ice machines and all 4 were out of order. I finally got ice and a drink and went to the pool where it took 3 phone calls and 45 minutes to get a towel at the pool. I have always found the staff to be great and hope this is a glitch on the facility side.

Sorry to say, but this was not a pleasant experience at all. The hotel is dirty, and the staff is nice but not super helpful. The hotel is super confusing with very poor signs to find the rooms. I travel a lot internationally too, and I have stayed at a lot of hotels including budget ones. By far this was the worst - not really budget for $120 a night. The biggest problem is the design of the hotel. Clumsy, poorly organized, dark, and it smells like carpet cleaning chemicals mixed bug spray. Sorry, that I have to write a negative comment, but I would never stay here again. Oh, the one positive was, that after they forgot my cookie at check in, the front desk girl did bring it to my room :) That was the only positive in a 6 day bus. stay.

Thank you for taking the time to send us your review. We truly wish that all of our amenities were available to our guests and we will be glad when the Governor opens everything up for us. We do have plastic utensils available at the front desk and a microwave in the snack market area.

We do not have a heated pool so it will be colder now that the weather has changed but we will make sure that it is clean.
