HYATT house Emeryville/San Francisco Bay Area

We enjoy staying at Hyatt House places and this one in San Francisco was great

The facilities were nice, but the hotel management and maintenance of the building were horrible. When I arrived they put me in a room on the 8th floor, I carried a bunch of stuff up the room and when I got there one of the maids stopped me from entering and started talking to me like a was a small child and told me I could not go in. I had to carry all my stuff back down to the front desk and was told the room was not ready (check-in is at 3:00pm and it was after 4:00pm). I was then given a room on the 9th floor. Again, I carried all my stuff up. Upon entering my second room I found that it contained a kitchen (ALL the rooms contain kitchens according to the hotel staff) with an extremely noisy refrigerator. Again, I carried all my stuff downstairs to the front desk. I spoke with the hotel manager, a woman who appeared befuddled and non-functioning, and was given another room in the 12th floor. I found out later that the room had almost no water pressure, so doing things like brushing your teeth, washing your face, and showering became very laborious tasks. I later asked the same manager where the gym was and she stated is was just down a hall and to the left. After spending about 15 minutes looking for the gym (the manager could not give accurate directions), I found that it was actually outside of the hotel in a separate building. You have to walk out in the pool area, and the hotel turns off ALL the lights in the pool area at night, so finding the gym can be a hazardous.

Phenomenal experience from the breakfast buffet to the friendly staff! Best hotel I've stayed at in all my years. The breakfast buffet was great and comes with an omelette bar! Everything was very fresh and is not the bagel with cream cheese you usually get when breakfast is included. Rooms were posh and super clean! Loved having a fully equipped kitchen as well. Will def stay again if I'm ever in the area. Close to OAK airport

Had a business trip and needed a place to resemble a "home" stay. I reserved a suite with a kitchen and it was a perfect place to work and unwind. Great location easy access to the Bay Bridge to commute to SF meetings, while allowing me to stay a pedestrian when I return from the office.

Excellent location and amenities with this location.

Home away. Spacious room, full kitchen, loved stay there

Decent except thin walls and doors (think cheap closet/bedroom doors) made sleeping all but impossible. Noise from train was an issue well.

My stay at the Hyatt House was a very pleasant, enjoyable & relaxing experience. The only problem I encountered was the television in the living room did not work properly. It kept loosing the signal. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

The staff was super friendly and very catering to children. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was by far one of the best complimentary breakfasts I have ever had. My daughter left her retainer in a napkin on the table and a couple of minutes after leaving we returned to ask if we could dig through the trash and find it. The wait & kitchen staff sorted through the trash for us and found it! Such a relief and staff going above and beyond. Thank you!!!

Really nice, super clean, convenient hotel. Great breakfast. Bay view room view not so great (maybe list as partial bay view for lower floors). No early morning coffee available except in room. Comfy bed with nice selection of pillows.

Great stay. Breakfast was nice and location convienient.

My experience was very much enjoyable. The hotel room was very spacious and comfortable.

The room was exactly what we were looking for. Big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids to run around.

Nice hotel with everything that I need: free parking, free breakfast, nice kitchen, convenient location to freeway and shopping......I can not ask for more

Exceptional hotel, very very comfortable, quiet, excellent view to the Bay Bridge, very clean, close to shopping areas and eateries, will visit again.

Comfortable, welcoming hotel, short walk from train station. Stayed in a suite with partial view of bay. Two queen beds in bedroom, slightly sift mattress in Sudanese in living room. Roomy bathroom. Good free buffet breakfast included with room.

The only thing that bothered me was that when we ran out of shampoo we didn't get replacements. We got nothing but conditioners. It's like they couldn't read or tell the difference. Because of that, I couldn't wash my hair. One other thing is that there isn't enough hooks in the bathroom to hang your towels. We had three people in the family. Only two hooks isn't enough. Also the faucet was too short, so when you wash your hands, water gets all over the counter top. Strange because the room is for people in wheelchairs. The faucet should be longer to accommodate them. And it was very messy. I was drying the counter with a towel all the time.

Yummy breakfast! Ample free parking! comfortable room! Friendly staff! Excellent happy hour!

Hyatt house in Emeryville is by far my favorite hotel to stay at when I visit the Bay Area. The staff are amicable, welcoming, and nice. I drove from LA arrive to the hotel very early, requested and early check in and the staff did the best they could to check me in early. Regarding the area, there's a shopping center walking distance, which was very nice and convenient. Overall, I had a great experience during my stay and would definitely recommend to others.
