Hotel was recently remodeled, clean, with plenty of garage parking and 1/3 less than other hotels in the area. It's truly a hidden gem!!

Many of the reviews said this property was “wonderful”. I didn’t see it this way. The positive of the property was location and the staff was very, very nice. The negative was the room was very dated. We picked the king suite with a balcony and ocean view. It did have a balcony that was very, very small and no seating. We were able to stand on the balcony and see the ocean. So there was truth in the ocean view but not what we expected. The separate living room furniture was covered in sand. There was a serious problem with the plumbing. The shower/tub backed up and wouldn’t drain. The free breakfast was bare bones. There was no hot food, waffles, as shown on the website. I did like that there was a Trader Joe’s right next door. So overall it was ok but I wouldn’t stay there again.
The room was spotless, the fridge was good, the coffee in the room was okay. I think the highlight of our 2 night stay here was the small outdoor pool. It was extremely satisfying to have a pool with hot water. We were expecting the weather to be hot but since it was cloudy and cold, the pool was nice to have to get away from the cold and relax from a whole day of walking. My only gripes with this hotel was the terrible breakfast options. All they had was muffins, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, and bagels with cream cheese or margarine. But, it was nice to have Ocean's Diner right next door to the hotel. Their breakfasts were absolute fire! I would definitely come back to this hotel if I'm ever resting in the area again.

Stayed the night to attend a comedy show at The Comedy and Magic Club which was only about a 12 minute walk from the hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and let us check in early. Room was clean and comfortable! Perfect for a beach getaway.
No waffle maker and no towels available at the Jacuzzi, and there’s a 10.00 parking free I wasn’t aware of till checkout.
Close to ocean. Non smoking room smelled like smoke and there was a pile of hair on the bathroom floor
Extra towels were not available by the jacuzzi and it was difficult talking with the maids who did not understand English to get clean towels after the first night.
Enjoyed our stay. We picked this property because it’s walking distance from Hermosa Beach Pier. Surrounding area was quiet at night and beautiful during the day. Hotel was very clean, parking was convenient and friendly staff! We will definitely return to this property!
It was conveniently located, and in a safe location. They need to work on the breakfast. It was hit or miss. One reason we chose this one was it pictured a waffle machine and we love that at other hotels. The receptionist did their best to keep up with filling items and replacing coffee but they jept running out of items. I was not aware until checking out that I was paying for parking. It was not a huge amount but was told it was on the site. Going on it when we got home I did see it but so easy to miss. The staff was great and again not their fault they could not keep up. The people staying there would come in waves.

The only good thing about this motel is the location. We requested a room with a queen bed and fold out sofa. When we arrived we folded out the sofa bed and found the sheets were filthy- crumbs and food all through the sheets and also covered in what looked like blood and human bodily fluids. Our friend travelling had to sleep on the dirty floor as she refused to sleep in the blood soaked and stained sheets. It was completely untenable and when we complained to the staff we got “oh well, you pre paid and I can’t do anything.” - except give back our $10 parking fee. No care from staff, filthy bedding. Hermosa Beach is a gorgeous area, don’t ruin it by staying here.

It's centrally located to Pier Avenue and commercial locations. The bedding was clean and comfortable. However, they charged me $30 for parking, and never cleaned the room in three nights.
Love the area! Quiet and close to the beach. Plenty of parking and walking distance to Starbucks, bars and restaurants.
