Indoor pool is great. Decaf coffee carafe in the lobby is a huge plus too. A suite with a bedroom, completely separated by a door, not just a partition wall, is a rare thing. And the hotel was recently renovated. All the above makes La Quinta at North Bakersfield the best place for the money. We’ll be back!

The room was ok, but the shower did not work, they give us another room but my son was already sleeping and I couldn't move him so we did trips to the other room for our showers. At breakfast it was a sign that we could not take food to our rooms, i was very disappointed.

Clean, spacious and comfortable, but extremely basic and boring grab-and-go breakfast. All they give you is a prepackaged egg and cheese burrito with bacon that you need to microwave, plus a cereal bar and juice. Hopefully they will spruce it up and offer some hot breakfast items in the near future. Worst comes to worst there is a Denny's across the way. Otherwise if you want an affordable 3 star hotel this will do just fine.
