The rooms really vary from nice & updated to really unkept. Kinda a crapshoot depending on the desk clerks decision. Prob has the best breakfast around, especially when compared to all simulary priced competitors here in Bakersfield.
Bring your earplugs! We were on the first floor and when the upstairs occupants walked we could follow them by creaks and squeaks. Then the next door people came in and we were entertained first by them having sex then him yelling at her and her crying. It was horrible. We were ready to call the office when everything quieted down by 11:30 pm. I also would have complained about no internet (Room 120) but we were already down for the night when I checked. The bed gave my husband a backache - old broken down spring mattress. Breakfast served 2 am to 9 am - biscuits and gravy, waffles, coffee etc but there is a Denny's across the parking lot and we went there. Needless to say - we will never be back. The check in woman was great!
Paid too much for unclean room and too noisy and loud neighbor We we're given a room that still had someone else belonging. We had half a roll of toilet paper and the floor was dirty and candy and soda stains
Very small room and it wasn't clean. The electric switches were sub standard with no hot water supply and spring beds. Luckily we were en-route to San Diego and just needed a place to crash for 6 hours. Good for short stay (just for crashing for few hours) as its cheaper but wouldn't recommend to anyone planning a longer stay.
Awesome hotel to stay in long term. Family style atmosphere with many amenities. Close to every shopping need that you can imagine... good choice of either fast food or sit down restaurant meals. I highly recommend it.
We are currently staying at this motel. If we weren’t super tired and hadn’t already unloaded our car we would have left. The floor is dirty. (Attached a photo of a towel we used to clean the floor). The room stinks. The chair has holes in it. The towels are stained. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Well run and well organized place (my impression). Spacious, clean and decent room, including some decent hardwood flooring (no dirty unhygienic wall-to-wall carpet). This is a large place with a large number of rooms. Therefore be prepared that it is not only the mother's best children and boy scouts who spend the night here. And dont be surprised if you see a police car or two outside. But the security seems to be taken well care of anyway. Approved (I will rate it somewhere between 3 or 4). And will stay here again on another ca road trip!
I haven't been to Bakersfield for awhile. This hotel always meets my expectations. The staff here are remarkable. They seem to care on every need and request you ask for without hesitation. They seeem to keep the same staff cause they all know me by name , all familiar faces when I go there. Pricing is affordable and breakfast is included in the price.
I stayed here twice on my way to and from Yosemite - Los Angeles. Rooms were clean, spacious and staff friendly. Directly off the highway, this hotel of the chain is opposite a shopping centre; Walmart, Aldi, Lowes so is great if you need to pick up supplies. I pulled in because the highway sign said rates start from $45.99 but both times I paid around $67 including taxes, internet and breakfast. Would recommend for a night stop over whilst on the road.
For the few weeks that I have been staying here, the service has been really good. Along with the staff, very helpful and friendly. It is not too far from any type of amusement you seem to seek. Everything is fairly close, even a local Wal-mart. The rooms is good, bed is comfortable, and also the pillows are soft. Breakfast is from a good hour, not your normal 6-9a.m. So if you a truck driver this is the place for you. Easy access to the freeway. I would definitely stay here again.
