I was in a non smoking section and people on my floor where smoking pot. Heard security taking with them because they were very noisy in the middle of the night. They should of kicked them out of their rooms. Was trying to enjoy my daughters 21 b day.
Had a very nice time,we were very happy with our trip.
Nice hotel..clean well maintained room..staff plesant and nice..
The staff is so friendly and we were even upgraded to the Havana Towers due to our room not being available. The rooms were so clean and comfy. We were so happy that we go to stay an extra night due to the weather.
Nice place for a quick getaway. Casinos are fun and the and tires that and tires really in the same building.
So much to do! The hotel rooms were a bit smokey, especially with the people in the room next door smoking.
Expected more from this hotel has a couple of great restaurant like Cuba libre, overall i give it a 3 rooms are not updated elevators extremely old is the only hotel on the boardwalk that's worth going to they should take advantage of that. The pool was horrible staff was ok nothing over the top
Great hotel and excellent experience. Only negative point is that this is a "smoking allowed" hotel so if you do not smoke like me the cigarette smell could be overpowering.
We only stayed overnight but had a great time. The room was great, the restaurant was great and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Since valentine's day was last week and also my brothers birthday is decided to join both events and treat them both. My girlfriend loved the room and the view we had, my brother and his girlfriend liked there room also it was affordable and there's alot of places to eat and things to do inside the hotel which is great. Everyone enjoyed themselves so it was good quick getaway.
It was a comfortable stay but the nonsmoking room smelled like a bunch of cigarettes.
Newly renovated hotel with excellent amenities, and friendly staff
Clean, very relaxing I got one of the renovated rooms which was a nice experience
I went to the trop with my wife and 2 kids. This is probably the best place to stay in AC if you are bringing kids since they have so many restaurants and non-gambling things to do. Room was nice and recently updated (double queen in North Tower). I would recommend The Trop for your next AC trip.
The reception employees weren't welcoming and friendly as one would expect from a brand name hotel. The room was very average. Nothing special. The house keeping staff started knocking on the door to clean the room at 9 am! Never seen this before!
They could not find my reservation that I made one month in advance. The supervisor was able to solve the problem and he was very helpful.
We check in and everything went well. but they explanation to us that the pool is closed and told her about the busy holiday . Next day we checked out and they charge addition fees for an upgrade room which I didn't ask for. This is the second times I had problems at Tropicana Casino & Resort Atlantic City. Beware stay away from this Casino.
The casino, restaurants, & shops were nice. The hotel rooms provided the bare minimum. There was a lot of noise from other rooms & we could hear people walking on the wood floors above us. Staff was friendly & accommodating. It was fine for what we needed, but basic accommodations.
We went to AC to go to the clubs and bars (not as much the casino) and no where on their website did it mention that all of the clubs were closed on weekdays and it didn't mention that their bars had limited/no food after 11pm. Other than that the room was clean and comfortable and the people were extremely nice! Would definitely come back but on a weekend!
The title of my review really says it all. The last 2 times I have stayed at the Trop, the desk has bungled my reservation and been rude about it from the first moment of interaction. This last time, they tried to downgrade us on a room we pre-paid in full, with no mention of a refund of the difference, comps, or an apology. Simply, "here's your lower quality room than you paid for. Deal with it." No, thanks. The facilities and literally everyone else who works in the building down to the parking lot staff are fantastic, yet the first faces you see are seemingly trained to be nightmares.
