The beds were horrible you could feel the springs through the mattress. My grandson was bit up by some type of bug in the bed can’t say what it was but I took pictures. The guest in the room next to us decided to be loud from 1 am to 3 am. I use to always stay there but I will never again. The carpets smell so bad. They need to renovate this place .
When I checked in, I asked for a room away from the elevator (due to noise sensitivity). The staff member at the front desk check-in assured me I was far away at Rm 1914. But the rm was DIRECTLY across the hall (6 feet) from the elevator. I asked to be changed and was given 1214 - which I asked if it was just the same room but on a different floor (she promised me NO, that it was a different floor layout). She was wrong. Same exact rm across from elevator, just 5 floors down. Finally a manager upgraded me to a corner room 1216 slightly bigger - nice to do after a THIRD try and it was finally away from the elevator. But staff needs a map of rooms which they clearly don't have at the front desk. Rooms were clean, but still very dated in the 70-80s style so they desperately need an upgrade. Despite the "oldness" of the feel, it was clean. Don't expect much for Atlantic City - the city is well beyond its glory days.
We were locked out of our room for 20 minutes.first night..and being on separate floors.. family of 3. Son was on 15th floor my wife and I were on 16th floor. Son was expecting ocean view, but did not happen.. also the food in the roaring twenties restaurant was terrible, so much salt in chicken and rice platter. To sum up our trip was between 1 and 10. A # 5. Will not return,. Ps. My son's room was very expensive. $350.00 per night for four nights... No jucussi tub in room no ocean view..very disappointed.
Excellent property very clean very elegant very helpful guests and staff members are extremely friendly and helpful to hotel guests highly recommend staying at the Claridge Hotel
The pool feels extremely unsafe and dark at night. Zero air conditioning in the lobby during 89° weather.
It was close to the Altantic City Air Show. The elevators were old and were usually full due to the number of guests trying to get on and off at the same time.
Great experience so far.
My room was FILTHY
The room itself, and the hotel lobby is very clean. The pool area not so great, no towels and no staff in the pool area at all. The area around the hotel is unsafe but that’s not the hotel fault..
I just wanted to make a new review to let you know that Bre is so awesome and she took great care of my boyfriend and I after our check in experience. And the valet manager was also amazing. So my trip was completely turned around in a great way and I truly appreciate it!
Lift were real pain. I had to bring my luggages down using the stairs.
The property itself was ok and clean. It is a bit outdated but that does somewhat add to the charm. When checking in the staff was less then friendly. Only two elevators were working so we spent a lot of time waiting on transportation to the room which was on the 15th floor and very inconvenient.
Elevator was not working for the whole time we were there. No accomidation was offer, we had to wait 30 plus for an elevator if not go up whatever floor you were in through the stairs in my case it was the 8th floor. And every employee you asked had a do what you have to do attitude. Totally unacceptable. I understand things happen but the way you handle those situations are what customer take with them.
It was cool
Very old fashioned. Rooms were clean. Common areas dated. Around check out time , waited for elevators over 5 minutes. There were some sketchy people chrcking in but can't be helped
