i love the claridge but there is a definite need for maintenance. the building is showing its age and need for some modernization. the ventilation system and vents need cleaning, the sign outside over the valet awning is ripped, bathroom sink fixtures need replacement/repair/tightening, elevators may need retrofit. carpets from the garage need replacement. the hotel can keep its charm while still fixing up some things.

This is our fourth year staying here during Christmas time. Overall stay was good. We were on the 14th floor. Room was clean. We had really hot water. Bed was comfortable. We come here in winter not only for the decent price, but also for their nice, warm pool. If you are looking to use the pool as well, be aware of this time change so your resort fee doesn't go to waste... the adult pool hours are now from 8pm to 10pm instead of 10pm 12am. Sadly, we did not know until after 10pm when we tried to go swimming. When I inquired about it to the desk I was told that it has been these hours for years. I said impossible because I've been coming here for 4 years in a row and it was always 10 to 12. Besides this little rant, we'll still go back next year and recommend the Claridge as a decent place to stay. Also, check out the Vüe on the 23rd floor! Great drinks and great views!

The sad part there wasn't refunds when I got it but thankfully it was worth it the bed are comfortable. A bunch of stuff to do inside the hotel like pool, arcade, restaurant and etc. When I went the was a wedding or party so my floor was filled with lightweights and party goers. I say that because I heard they made a mess with drinks in the hallway but when I woke up in the morning it was spotless. It was worth it.

Was ok just had food left back in the refrigerator. You have to climb into the shower and turn on cold water get splased with it because you dont have access to the handle unless you go all the way in the shower.

Great pool if you ignore the mold around the edge. BED BUGS. We filled out a report with the hotel and we were told several times that we would get a refund. We had to throw out our clothing to avoid infecting our home. I haven’t yet heard back from the hotel (no emails) and I haven’t yet received the refund. Very disappointed. Any hotel can have bed bugs but this hotel wasn’t responsive or apologetic, maybe they weren’t surprised.

Great stay, show in the comedy club was amazing!

Had to call to get room cleaned. Had to call to get wash clothes. Channels listed on their card were not available. Specifically a network Channel that all hotels should have NBC. Room was not vacuumed and it only had one tiny trash can which was in the bathroom. Will not book there again.

The property needs to be upgraded including carpet, old mattresses, stale smell in the hotel. The staff was very nice. Overall, outdated, old needs to be upgraded.

The room and property were okay, but the front desk staff were unfriendly and not helpful.

Building needs a lot of cleaning and updates. The lobby stank. I saw garbage outside the rooms in our floor. This was an over price hotel with zero free amenities.

Perhaps the Claridge was once an elegant hotel but it isn't anymore. The gold is tarnished and the rooms all need refreshing. They are no longer an "A" rated hotel and should either remodel everything or lower their prices. It's not fair to the guest to pay top dollar for what is now a budget hotel. Will not stay there again

This was probably a beautiful property at one time. You can absolutely see the charm and history throughout the building. Unfortunately, it has not been kept up with and is in need of major TLC. Our room was not properly stocked as when we arrived we were missing hand towels and then the next day, after housekeeping came in, they did not leave any towels for showering. I am sure they are short-staffed but think it is important to ensure to take care of the rooms that are being occupied.

Upon checking in, the light in the bathroom was broken, we asked se real times and didn’t get a response. Finally an engineer came over and only partially solved it. For the majority of our stay we used a dark bathroom. The clean towels were not provided timely. Beds were small and when we asked for a rollaway bed or moving to a bigger room, requests were declined. The pool was very cloudy and unclean. The staff was not responsive to our needs.

The soul food restaurant was amazing, the rooms were really clean, respectful staff, and the 1920’s style restaurant is something out of the titanic movie. The distance from the hotel to the boardwalk and beach is absolutely phenomenal. Love this property….

Other than the website saying there were beach umbrellas available, which they aren’t, the property was great and the price was good too.

Really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Claridge. The brunch at Leavanders restaurant (located inside the hotel) was amazing! $40 for all you can eat breakfast/ lunch and the menu was amazing. I highly recommend. The only bad thing about the hotel that was not good at all was their elevator system: You WILL be waiting quite a few minutes for an elevator, as there are many people using the elevators all at once so it takes forever to catch an elevator. The staff at this hotel are wonderful and it’s nice that it’s located so close to the beach and boardwalk, literally takes two minutes to walk to the beach and boardwalk. I would stay here again.

this must have been a great place in the 20's. The front deck manager was horrible. Everyplace is short staffed nowadays, but I'm sure when higher up realize she was a bad hire the place will improve.
