The hotel itself was nice, eclectic and interesting. The staff was unwelcoming, unfriendly and unaccommodating. When I initially arrived the staff was on the phone or watching videos. No one said “welcome” or “How can I help you”. When they realized I was standing there they just raised their eyebrows. So unprofessional

We stayed here for 3 nights. Overall the hotel is relatively clean and in a good shape. But here are a few issues for you to consider before booking: 1. The shuttle service is at best unreliable. Upon arrival at Newark airport at 11pm, we had to wait 40 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. Another time we waited 20 minutes at the train station for the shuttle, only to realize it will take them another 30 minutes to get there, so we chose to walk. 2. There is a strong smell of weed in the building. At first we thought it's coming from the adjacent room in our floor and let the front desk know, but then we realized the smell is there even at the lobby. They didn't do anything about it 3. The breakfast is hands down one of the worst breakfasts I have had in a hotel. And it's not even free.

Tryp is beautiful. The beds are comfy. The staff is friendly. It’s centrally located. The decor is modern and fresh. The restaurant has good food. I’d happily stay here again.🙌🌻

The stay was ok. Not noisy or dirty. The rooms seems a little old and I’m disappointed the bunk bed that was pictured on hotels.com website is not the bunk bed that was in the room. The rooms were cleaned every day. The hotel shuttles are AWFUL. They come maybe once every 45min-1hr. We waited for about 45 min to get to the hotel from the airport by shuttle and we waited over an hour for the shuttle to bring us to the airport. The front desk is ok.

Hotel was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and very spacious. The wait time was fairly long for the restaurant downstairs. Other than that no other complaints.

Really beautiful hotel and loved that they had a restaurant with a bar inside. Only thing i didn’t understand was that there was no fridge or microwave. Im glad we stayed one night because that would be an issue. Also a lot of stores close pretty early in the area but overall our room was nice and cozy.
