Hotel beautiful very comfortable suite didn’t eat at the restaurant because didn’t like the idea of paying a “club fee” wasn’t bringing alcohol to the restaurant. “Ocean View” was disappointing had a lovely view red metal roofs and a peek at the ocean! Wouldn’t go back!!
I loved the history of the hotel and how it remains an elegant hotel. We ate breakfast at Emily’s and the food and service was fantastic.
We had a descent stay, but it was a bit disappointing. For the price, I would have expected much more. The maid service didn't come the one day (because we had a "do not disturb" sign on our door for literally 20 minutes). Our keys, and separately our kids keys, stopped working while out of the hotel. The washing machine door in our room could not be opened for close to a day (it seems like only one person knew how to open it); not good for the wet clothes stuck in the washer. The outside eating area for Emily's needs significant cleaning and improvement, starting with repairing the scenery of a few boarded up windows, broken window lattice, broken umbrellas (for the sun), etc. Meanwhile, a transform broke on the first night, and we had no AC for most of night one, and the power continued to go our periodically the following day. I'm sorry, just a bit disappointing.

Our apologies about your ocean view room. Certainly we do not want any of our guests disappointed in their room orientation. If you ever choose to join us again please let us know about your previous stay experience and we will ensure you receive a better view or room orientation that fit your requests. Thank you for choosing The Flanderds Hotel.

I'm sorry for your less than favorable stay. We certainly hold ourselves to a high standard and we would never want a guest to feel as though they did not get the experience they expected. We are still recovering from the effects of hurricane Isaias in the sitting area of Emily's but we are almost completely recovered and would love to welcome you back. As for the power outage, the transformer issues were certainly not anticipated and we do sincerely apologize for any inconveniences it may have caused throughout your stay. If you would like to give us a call and speak further about your experiences we would love a chance to chat and possibly welcome you back in the future.
Thank you for your kind response. We cant wait to welcome you back very soon!
