There wasn’t much to like… What I didn’t like is that we were there for four nights and we only got made service one night and that was at my request. I asked the maid to empty the trash and she gave me the trash bag. The pool had Mold on the edges and it was supposed to be heated and it was very chilly and many of the little kids were crying, including my grandson. But when it was time to check out, the worker came to our room at exactly the 1103 to see if we were gone. It was a terrible experience and I doubt seriously if I will ever go back to the Tropicana. Accidentally I have stayed there in the past at least five other times and it’s never been that bad but I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Larry E Hamme PhD

Hotel was great, staff...a little distracted with personal discussions while I was waiting to ask a qiestion. Seems like going to the automated kiosk is what they want instead of interaction. Not atypical lately, but nice if the kiosk worked. Food (Carmines) in the quarter was awesome. Sports bar was uninspiring, both with decor and service.. Outlying area of AC is getting worse, which is unfortunate.

The entire hallway and floor on the Chelsea tower smelled of mildew and must, very unpleasant smell that made the stay uncomfortable. There was also a man in the Chelsea tower who was clearly intoxicated and on drugs and threatened me and my girlfriend. Very unpleasant experience!

When I checked in, they no longer had the room that I reserved and had to give me a different room and a different part of the building. Not the worst thing, but I want in the room that I wanted specifically and there was nothing they can do. I want one king size bed and they only had queen size bed that would not budge on that. I believe there was more they could’ve done for me and didn’t make any effort to do so. They gave me a five dollars off coupon for my troubles. Also, in the room, there was a nonstop, whining, hum that did not stop for one moment it was distracting the entire time.

They opened our door 3 times at one night every 2 hours different person, last time Aggressive between 8 men and I paid in Orbitz and I had to pay double and they didn't want to give me the receipt either so bad experience!!!

I stayed at the Tropicana for five days with my husband and two teenage sons. It was right on the boardwalk and perfect location! I loved all of the indoor shops that Tropicana had along with all of the restaurants. We ate at many restaurants inside the Tropicana and they were all fabulous. Very pricey, but everything along the boardwalk is so be prepared! Inside the Tropicana, they also have great desserts to choose from. The kids pool was not that nice looking. The kids took one look at it and said no way. The outdoor pool was way too windy on the days we were there so we did not use that. The adults only pool looked great! The fitness center was out of this world. I do not believe there is a better fitness center at any hotel. five stars for that alone! The room itself was just very mediocre. But how long are you gonna stay in the room anyway? It was outdated and they do not clean the rooms daily. They didn’t even do it at all in the five days. They will give you fresh towels upon request. We had to place our garbage outside of the door every day. The elevators were great. They were so fast climbing 40+ floors in a matter of a few seconds. The staff was very nice. However, upon check-in, it was chaotic and they were going through the process with you very fast. Definitely not too friendly or over welcoming. But OK. We did not utilize the gambling, but that looked like a lot of fun. I would recommend Tropicana.

The rooms are antiquated. The ceiling was peeling and the carpet smells of cigarettes in a non smoking room.
