Very well appointed and comfortable room in a convenient location in Asheville. You can walk pretty much anywhere. Comfortable beds with nice quality linens. Love the Aveeda soaps and shampoos. Check-in and Check-out were easy and efficient. Our view was of a giant air conditioner unit which didn't really matter since we were there only one night, getting in kind of later and leaving early.

Nice room. Great location, many things within walking distance.

The hotel has been remodeled but doesn't hide its an older hotel. My biggest gripes were the tv channel options were poor and the local channels were "snowy"The air unit was very loud and was on and off all night. It was very convent to downtown we walked most of the time.

Walkable to downtown & trolley stop in front of hotel. Only issue was we wanted to extend stay by one day but since we booked on Orbitz was given a phone & 800# to call Marriott direct. Was informed booked up even though was told by desk staff a few rooms available. So back to clerk who checked with manager & offered a room but way more than first day stay. We declined, stayed one night & found another hotel within walking distance of Biltmore Village for same price as first night, although hotel was not as nice as Renaissance. Our fault for not booking 2 nights originally but asking customer to call the 800# from the lobby felt rather cold. Otherwise, nice stay.

Great downtown location within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, and music. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. However, housekeeping staff did not do a good job as a whole. Upon arrival, I went to place some items on the nightstand next to the bed, but had to wipe off a thick layer of dust first. The hotel says in their literature that they change towels daily, and bedding every third day.The next day when we returned to our room at dinner time, we found our hotel bed pillows on the floor, and one corner of the bedding was folded back. (We had left the bed with the pillows on it and the covers pulled up.) We then called to ask for new bedding - sheets and pillowcases. A staff member arrived with damp bedding, and we had to ask him to get dry sheets. He was pleasant about the request. The next day when we arrived back at our room about 4PM, none of our towels had been changed out - they were still on the bathroom floor where we were instructed to leave them if we wanted them changed out. When we called for clean towels, the housekeeper seemed to have an attitude of being "put-out" for being called to change out our towels.

Pleasant check-in and pleasant service through out our stay. Facilities are beginning toi show some wear and tear but overall it is a very nice hotel.

great location and friendly staff. The room was clean. The breakfast was amazing and again the staff was very nice. Walking to downtown was a snap. Really enjoyed our time.

Staff was wonderful. Very assessable to downtown area. Close enough to walk back to hotel while shopping the downtown area.

A bit pricey for fridge that never got cold, lamp on desk didn't work; chair in room quite dirty; covered with a towel before sitting in it & top door latch screws coming loose which impaired security. Bed comfy; nice view of mountains and convenient walking location to everything downtown. Staff could speak a little clearer and maybe ensure pest control in restaurant; encountered two ants on the table during breakfast. Hotel too nicely decorated to have these issues.

Centered in the action of Asheville, this hotel is perfect for your visit. More importantly, their service is spectacular. I left my iPad with all my business info in my room, and they overnighted it to me at no charge. Well done!

The location of this hotel is perfect- can walk everywhere downtown, and also just a quick easy drive to get to Biltmore, Grove Park Inn, etc. The gym is a good size, the indoor pool is huge, warm, and sunny. Nice open air pavilion off the side of the hotel. Rooms were just ok, a little musty. Bathroom was VERY small.

The only problem we had was a pepsi bottle the maid forgot to take away. Other than that it was a nice hotel in a good location.

We always return to the Renaissance when we visit Asheville. Great location, free parking and wifi.

Beautiful Hotel, pretty pricey, but I suppose you get what you pay for. We were not there very long but it was very, very comfortable for the time we were there and location was awesome! Walking distance to all of downtown.

Visited Asheville for Bele Chere with friends. They recommended this hotel. Very clean, comfy and helpful staff.

This hotel was really nice but we were surprised with a few hiccups. Arrived and expected a King size bed but were 'upgraded' to a corner room with 2 queen beds since they didn't have any King beds left. Toilet was not clean, so we were moved to a smaller room with 2 queen beds. A little disappointed since this is a really nice hotel. The next morning the fire alarms went off and all the guests had to leave the hotel while the fire department checked out a small kitchen fire. The hotel did have a good response time and we were back in within 15 minutes, that was good. Then our toilet chain broke, so maintenance had to fix that. and our desk chair back was laid way back and would not go up and maintenance had to fix that as well. Then the last night we were there, the maid had not provided the bath towels which was not discovered until after the shower. We were there for just 3 nights and I think this is a lot of problems for such a nice hotel. The pros are they fixed things quickly and the personnel were ALL very nice!! Breakfast buffet was delicious but pricy. Hopefully this was just an isolated incident.

I visited Asheville, NC this past 4th of July. The hotel is perfectly located a very short (1 block) from the center of Asheville. Close to great restaurants and shops. The staff was terrifice, the room was very nice, Actually the entire hotel was terrific. The only negative thing I could point out is that the hotel doesnt have an outside pool. The Vanderbilt estate is a short drive away. If you purchase your Biltmore pass at the hotel you receive two (2) consecutive days. If purchased online or at the estate you are only entitled to one (1) day. The first day we toured the house and winery. The next day we went back and rented mountain bikes and toured the estate on bikes! A great way to spend a half day.

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times, and each time they've made more improvements in the lobby and the rooms, it's always clean and the location is terrific. Self parking is plentiful, and is located walking close to all in downtown Asheville. I'd recommend this hotel.

The staff is not customer friendly. They have not been trianed to provide good service. They are doing you a favor to talk to you. Service was so bad I checked out after one night and fond a diff hotel for the next night even thou i had paid for two. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!

Very well priced for the quality and amenities provided. Hotel has excellent downtown location -easy walking to good restaurants, center city attractions. Room and public areas beautifully maintained and tastefully furnished and decorated. Hallways, public areas spacious and light. Room spacious, comfortable bed - silky smooth dreamy sheets. Bathroom good, adequate good towels; but light in bathroom too dim. Pleasant breakfast restaurant, if one needs to skip nearby good breakfast restaurants in walking distance. Staff courteous and professional. Great hotel for business travel. Rooms equipped with plenty of easily accessible ports for phone cables, outlets for chargers, all thoughtfully arranged by a large desk-like shelf for laptop and/or other devices. Great amenity: dedicated boarding pass downloader & printer in the business center.
