Few little things. When checking in we were told the room number but not told where to go for breakfast or where to go for our room. For our room We were just told to turn right when going through the doors which would of taken us to the road. When in actual fact it was the building opposite the hotel entrance. It would of helped if he just said that wand what the building was called. Then when we eventually found our room the heating just blowed out cold air. So all we had was a little electric heater. So the room was cold most of the time. Also the shower leaked, the water was spurting out the showerhead over the floor, so had to have a bath everytime. Just things that should be checked i think before a room is available.

Not great, for a Hilton! Checked in fine, was told to come back at 4:00 when the room was ready, went back at 4, got told it would be 10 minutes and got asked to sit in the bar and wait for someone to come and get us. 16:45 no one come, went to desk, still messaging about, gone 17:00 by the time we got to our room. Heating unit noisy, blood stains on the or ironing board. Asks for a late check out to return to the room at 12:00 to the cards not working. Poor experience

My first point of contact was reception, they handled our check-in brilliantly , all staff throughout our stay were excellent, the room was comfortable and very clean, breakfast was tremendous

First the good bits - decent location immediately outside city walls at Monkgate and decent breakfast. The bad bits: VERY LIMITED PARKING, which is not mentioned in the hotel description with only about 15 spaces including 4 electric and 3 disabled bays. During my 3 night stay, the car park was full with only 1 car actually using a charger, and 1 registered disabled badge holder, the rest were regular cars. The alternative is a public car park 300 metres away at £25 per day. I stayed in a ‘motel’ room - my room door opened directly onto the car park, where at 7am the foodservice and laundry trucks arrive right outside my door. Room was only partly made up on the last night - and the drains in the bathroom stank.

Upon checking in, my husband and I were given room keys to occupied rooms, not once but twice! This seriously delayed our check in and left me witb no confidence that our things would be secure as I was able to waltz in to two people's rooms. It was supposedly down to a glitch in their system, but it's lucky I didn't walk in on any compromising situations. I was given a free drink for the trouble while the third room was checked to avoid the same mistake a third time, but no money was refunded off our stay. The third room we were put in was a bit tired looking with marks on the mirror, desk and walls but it was okay. Parking was very limited as well so we had to park further away from the building which wasn't the most ideal with the check in experience we had. We did end up staying the full duration of the 2 day trip as I couldn't find anywhere else to stay so last minute. We didn"t have any further issues, despite a bit of noise outside when we think Bins were being collected which I suppose can't be helped. Overall, I would not stay again or recommend as it definitely wasn't worth what we paid, or the stress and hassle it caused.

Room was cold on arrival. The room looked tired and needed a bit of facelift, not worth the cost. The bathroom door did not shut properly. The curtains did not shut properly. The toilet holder fell off the wall. Maintenance was requested to sort this out. Quick response but bathroom door still was sticking. Requested an additional duvet or bed spread due to the room being cold, requested 3 times but it did not happen. Checking in was ok but the Expedia information relating to breakfast (included) had not filtered through to the hotel. Breakfast was okay, good selection although the coffee machine was out of order, so hotel had reverted to pump flasks.
