Great location; off street parking. Quiet campus environment.
False advertising, unexpected costed! Will NEVER stay there again! When looking for a hotel close to City Winery, I researched for one that included complimentary hot breakfast. This is what sold me on this property. Once we checked in and I asked what time breakfast started, she said pastries and coffee would be ready blah blah blah... I was floored! Then she asked if we were parking on campus because there is a $40 service charge. With tax $47. This was not on website or mentioned when I called to confirm room. When we declined, she told us we had 20 minutes to move car! We get up next morning-the person in charge of preparing coffee didn't show up, so the same little girl tells my boyfriend it will cost $4 if she has to make it!
This hotel is Terrible there are cockroaches, the service in check in very bad. Very expensive parking 40 dollars per night ... the location is very dangerous .... I do not recommend this Hotel 😔
AC unit in all rooms won’t work well, it’s like 76 to 80 degrees. Hardly slept in every night!
The water pressure in the shower was kinda weak. I wasn't informed that I needed to pre-pay for the breakfast buffet ($13.95). The staff was super friendly and helpful. I stayed there once a couple of years ago, and it seems the facility has aged and there are places that need a little improvement (bathroom paint peeling), carpet a little dingy.
Very affordable accommodations that reminds me slightly of a college dorm. There is alot of wear and tear and the beds were soft. Our bathtub did not drain and the hotel could not fix it until the next morning. They did offer me the use of a shower in another smaller room but that was after hours of waiting. There is a free shuttle to union station which is a huge positive. The campus is very pretty and quiet which helped balance out the cons. Staff is also super kind but the evening staff was overworked.
My bedsheets were dirty when I checked in I went back down and asked for them to be changed at 6pm, left came back at midnight sheets were not changed! Went back down told the current attendant what happened and asked that I just switch rooms. He came up looked at the beds said he’d be back and brought linens, they were not the right linens he had to leave again and come back, all of this while my family and I had to wait after midnight. He ended up putting on bed protectors and no sheets and that’s what we had to sleep on. I ended my stay early because of this. I went down the next morning told the front desk supervisor what happened and he apologized said the midnight guy was new and had apparently in the system put me in a different room!!! and said he would see about getting me a refund. Never heard back from them.
I liked it was quiet and the staff was incredibly respectful and professional. I had an allergic reaction and they were accommodating. The breakfast buffet seemed too expensive but since there was nowhere else to get breakfast, it was either that or take my pills on an empty stomach. This seemed unfair. I got kicked off the internet a lot the first day, but it was fine the second day.
Very quite n private..need more amenities, larger resturant with more menu selections
The campus is quaint and beautiful. The proximity to the food house and metro is also great.
The people at check in were not nice and acted like we were interupting their day when asked questions. The bathroom smelled like mold, the walls were dirty and the sink was not clean. I was under the impression that parking was free but they charged us $40 a night.
Quiet and well appointed. Good location, walking distance from Union Market, where we ate frequently.
Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Staff is very friendly and eager to assist the guests. Will definitely book in the future and recommend highly.
