Target, McDonalds and Checkers near by. You have to pay for parking at the Target and Hotel actually pretty much everywhere you go in DC. Not much to do around there. Hotel, rooms and common areas were clean, got charged for an ice cream that I didn’t purchase but they returned my money. Rumor had it there was a curfew set for the state so we didn’t do anything special there. Standard easy Breakfast is served complimentary daily.

We were provided an upgrade when our room key did not work after returning from dinner. The upgrade was from a single room to a suite, I was rather surprised after being told it was a bigger room. Great job to the staff.

Customer service could be better

Okay room and I appreciate the gift bag coming in but what I don't appreciate was the lack of transparency in additional fees. The front desk attendant never mentioned the $50 security deposit, nor did she mention the $25/car parking fee. When I asked if they were mandatory she said "of course" very rudely. It's an okay hotel in an okay location, but I won't be returning due to the lack of customer service.
