Nice property! Stayed here from a Tuesday to a Saturday. Was disappointed that they didn't have more activities through out the week and not just on Friday. Stores close early and some of the restaurants they advertise are only open on the weekend. It sounded like a hotel that would be full of activities for the kids and fun things to do throughout the day but didn't see that. We left the hotel more then we wanted to just to keep the kids busy. They have two restaurants on site and one we did not visit because it was all seafood and my kids would not like it. Alpine hall was nice and food was good but the menu is small, not much to choose from. We ate out for the rest of the trip. We had Breakfast the first day there at the beanery and never went back. The service was terrible. The worker was not friendly at all! I purchased 2 containers of cereal for the kids but they had no milk for me to purchase. I asked if I could purchase a cup of milk since they had a bunch of gallons of milk for their coffee beverages and he made a big deal about it. Their egg and cheese sandwich was $10 and it was pre-made. Figured I would get a fresh sandwich for that price. 2 ice coffees, sandwich, 2 small containers of cheerios and 1 pastry was over $50. Valet was great and so friendly. We reserved a suite with a kitchenette. It was extremely small, and the refrigerator was tiny, couldn't fit much in there. Overall its a nice hotel but expected more.
We were told our room was not ready when we arrived at 5:00. We were sent a text that the room was ready at 6:00 and that our luggage was in the room. 45 minutes later they still had not located our luggage which we found out later was in the wrong room.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! Great room!
Great place to stay!
I don't care where you go in the world. It shouldn't cost $48 for 2 margaritas. And that's without tip. Also, the pillows are the worst pillows I've ever slept on. Besides the drink prices and pillows, the place is awesome.
Typically very nice but this time woefully understaffed. Restaurant was under construction and the breakfast buffet was moved to a separate location. The buffet was half full and never really restocked but $28 a person was still the cost - if you could get a waiter. We found dog poop in front of our room in the foyer. The staff cleaned it up by picking it up but never cleaned it and the hallway smelled like dog poop the entire time we were there. The valet stand was lightly staffed. When we did request maid service they dropped off three towels and one roll of toilet paper for a suite with four people. There were discarded drinks in the hallway on furniture that sat there for days. Yet still $700/night for small suite.
Requested early check in due to having 2 small children, showed up at 1pm, waited until 3:52 and was told room still wasn't ready, went back to desk at 4:02, it was still not ready, then was told they could put us in a different room on the same floor. Room next to barking dog. The next morning I asked for a later check out so my kids could get a little nap in, I was told no. So we tried to take a shower before leaving and the water didn’t work. I called the operator who said she’d call the engineering dept. so we waited for a while and didn’t hear anything. Called the front desk and was told the town’s water had been shut down. Wasted time, not able to shower, cranky and tired kids, no ability to accommodate us whatsoever.
Excellent experience. Lots of bees in the village and pool area, likely due to sticky drinks being spilled, if there is anyway to control that would be great.
Beautiful facility!
Although the property is beautiful, it's not the place to stay during covid. We came in the wrong entrance so we missed the vallet but they could of offered to have someone take our luggage to our room and they didn't. The room was nice but the bed had no fitted sheet instead it was a flat sheet. The flat sheet comes off while sleeping leaving you on a mattress pad and who knows if that is washed. Extras that were purchased to be in the room were missing an item, the fridge made a loud hum throughout the stay, dine in breakfast order was wrong, and it's ridiculous to charge fees for amenities that can't be used due to covid. The room a few rooms down had a pile of trash outside their door for the entire weekend that we were there. Everything was closed but their 1 restaurant and you have to make reservations for dine in and room service. It was our 10year anniversary and our original plans to go tropical were canceled so we decided to go opposite and stay in the mountains, our stay here was nothing special and a bit disappointing. Our view was nice though and the room was clean but for the price there was nothing to make me want to come back.
I like lodged set up, its big. Too bad you cant pick your floor or view.
Everything was good except dining in at the resort. We had dinner one night and everything was overcooked. It was unfortunate, we enjoyed everything else though.
This is our home away from home. The accommodation, staff, food, and libations are excellent. It feels to us more like a community than anything else. We will absolutely return.
My stay was great we are planing to retent in few weeks
The hotel is beautiful and staff very friendly. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing after a day of skiing. Food was also very good. Super dog friendly. Can't wait to go back again and we can't stay anywhere else after experiencing the lodge !
