Right off the freeway exit. Supermarket 2 minute drive away. Clean and well maintained. Friendly manager/proprietor. Great stopover. Loud train came by at least once though.
The rooms are newly remodeled and decorated. Don’t let the older looking outside facade scare you away. Kind staff(the owners). Good morning breakfast.
Surprisingly rooms is very spacious and nice/clean. Looks like recently renovated. House keeping stopped by 2nd day and emptied our garbage and gave new towels while we were out even though we didn’t request (common since covid). Owner/staff was very friendly and informative when I asked him questions. Breakfast was nothing fancy but nice to have some before heading out. Here are some cons (nothing was major.) 1. Could hear talking from next room but they were quiet at night so no complaint. 2. Lights are either too dim or not bright enough to read a book in a room. 3. Could smell something when entered (looks like no air ventilation?), but let door and window open for while, smell’s gone (or I felt like.) overall, I enjoyed my staying and will definitely come back when needed.
Needed better job of sanding or salting walkways after snow storm, but good job of regular plowing.
The room was comfortable enough even if sparsely furnished. But the bathroom sink was clogged and there was hair on the shower wall. It just felt dirty, with no cleaning between our stay and the prior guests’ stay.
Don’t be fooled by the picture of the charming building. It’s there, but is empty. Rooms are in an ugly 2 story motel next door. Rooms are spacious and seem clean, but there appear to be a lot more people living here than visitors. And you can hear everything going on. If you want a stay in a cute VT inn, go somewhere else. If you want a cheap place to stay that allows pets, this is the place for you,

The Inn is located in a quiet area away from traffic and noise. A bit off the beaten path, but we appreciated that the room was very comfortable and clean, and nicely designed. Although the exterior seems a little old fashioned, the room itself was modern and similar to what you would find in a hotel. The staff was warm and friendly. We loved that we were close to a Food Co-op which had delicious and inexpensive breakfast items, organic beers, and sandwiches. Highly recommend this little inn.
Nice quiet area, right off highway, room was clean, shower was hot, we had first floor room and it was great to just park and walk right in. Got there early and we could check in right away. Only problem is restaurant on site was closed ,we traveled to Brattleboro for dinner, there is a nice diner in Putney for breakfast and lunch. Would stay again.
The Room was very clean, carpet had no speck of dirt on it, bathroom spotless and beds neatly made very nice. Would reccomend.
