The Equinox is a historic property that needs to update their rooms. Even though the property is historic, the drawers and closet should be easy to use. The doors to the rooms are extremely noisy opening and closing which makes a lot of noise in the hallway. There was a tremendous electrical storm and the entire region was having issues with electricity but the Equinox engineers did their best to keep the facility running. This was appreciated. Upon checking in we were not told about a ramp into the hotel so my husband had to carry our luggage up the 8 front steps. The bell person showed up after the luggage was in the lobby and on the trolley. Not the type of service expected at the Equinox.

This hotel has sadly given up

This is the third time staying at the Equinox. It is rich in history and charm. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Way overpriced! Lack of amenities in the room--no coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave. No option to quilt on bed, which was too hot. The long walks from parking to buildings and inside to dining spaces with only 1 elevator was difficult. High marks to the friendly staff. Food and dining spaces were attractive and good.

It’s a gorgeous property- but it’s seriously run down .. sadly .. :-( - the staff at the main restaurant is mostly rude. The breakfast was horrendous to say the least. The spa staff members are so nice same applies to the staff working around the property- engineering- gardeners and the tennis courts staff. Playground is a bit dangerous for kids - the slide is broken - wood is cracking- Out room had poop In the toilet when we arrived / hairs and dog food every where

Donna, Thank you for being our guest. As a historic property, we understand the importance of maintaining modern amenities and functionality in guest rooms, and I appreciate your feedback on this matter. I regret the noisy doors and any disturbances caused in the hallway. Our engineering team worked hard to keep the facility running during the electrical storm. However, I apologize for the oversight in not informing you about the ramp at check-in. We strive to provide exceptional service, and we'll address this matter with our team to ensure it doesn't happen again.Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future with an improved experience.
