The hotel itself was okay for the price. We weren’t expecting much so it was okay, not dirty or anything. The rooms are very spacious inside except for the bathroom. The only complaint we have is management. The lady in the front was rude, she wouldn’t let you speak when trying to tell her something. We are the type of people who like our privacy and don’t like people in our room when we’re not there, and we called to ask for no one to go in and clean or anything and she demanded to go in and said no that she was still going in to clean up the trash and was rude about it. We offered to leave it outside or throw away for her but she didn’t allow it. We would not stay again.

Outdated rooms ie. retro late 70's feel. Friendly owners, quiet guests.

The hotel itself appears OK, the room was clean but in need of refurbishment. The furniture was worn and shabby. The beds were extremely firm, pillows were flat, it took stacking three pillows on top of each other to make one pillow. The towels have been bleached many many times and were very rough, we had a few that were so threadbare they were ripping apart. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby had a smell that I can only describe as smelling like Lipton soup. For the price we paid, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here many times, very happy with location and price!!

Lady at front is rude but husband is nice. Room was big, bathroom towels sucks. As I said. Average stay.

It is a good place to stay if you do not expect too much entertainment equipment from the hotel.

Made me pay an extra 20 dollars bc the room I booked had a plumbing issue. Supposed to be 2 queens and gave us a king how is that bigger? Also the reasoning was " at least u have a place to stay. " pillows were flat toilet barely flushed water pressure was low

Went to a concert, went out to eat, sight seeing. This hotel is a much older one,no upgrades, not the cleanest,no actvities but a pool,no extra towels, pillows,no extras what so ever...just a room to sleep..

Decently priced average hotel on the A1A beach blvd strip, close to lots of food places and grocery stores and shopping. The only real complaint I have is the paper thin walls, you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the surrounding rooms, our neighbors stayed up all night talking and laughing then woke up every morning at 6 or 7 a.m. being just as loud. The staff was very nice and didn't barge in to our oom at ten o clock ever morning like some hotels do.

If anyone is seriously considering a stay at this hotel let me be the first to warn you. You will have very rude Middle Eastern woman wake you up each morning at 8am even if you have a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door. You will have a lobby attendent who refuses to answer the phone. You will have every person who works at this establishment talk to you as if you were a 5 year old child. So enjoy your trip, I have faith that it will be the worst experience of your life. The entire place wreaks of curry powder and sewage, the smell is so bad we had to check out early.

Staff was friendly and was a quit place and clean. Was okay for the price.

Even a cheap motel ought to be part of the hospitality industry - it costs no more to adopt a service-oriented attitude. The proprietors of the St. Augustine Island Inn display such disdain for their customers it is clear they are running an establishment that they themselves would not frequent. My room smelled of mold and mildew, and they refused (rudely) to move me. Housekeeping did not service my room, and when I went to the desk to ask for clean towels I was forced to return to my second floor room and fetch the used ones first. The older woman who seems to run the place was so rude to me in front of my 6-year-old granddaughter that she was traumatized - and is still talking about the scary mean woman at the hotel. They seem especially upset that their guests require linens - I met another customer who was treated with a similar nasty attitude over sheets, and heard that another guest was charged for towels that they brought back dirty from the beach.

I enjoyed my stay at St. Augustine Island Inn, the hotel was clean and quiet and very close to local attractions.

Hey we're so sorry about the miscommunication, unfortunately sometimes we're confused if a customer needs service or not if they do not use the "Do not Disturb" sign that's on their door; had that been put outside on your door handle all this could have been prevented!
