we have been staying here 2 times a year for the past 6 or 7 years. Great place and very animal friendly. Our next visit is the September 2019. the rooms are very clean and staff is very helpful. Right on the beach and close to everything
Management was very friendly and room reminded me of old Panama City Beach from the 70s and 80s. Very quiet area on the beach and not a lot of people around. Room was older but clean. Would recommend this place.
Reminds me of Florida living back to the 1980's. Liaten, this place is not for everyone. If you are looking for tech and modern day convenience, go elsewhere. The building is dated, but comfortable, location is great, right on beach, no high rises around, and the main strip is just a mile or two away. So highly recommend as long as you have reasonable expectations.
We recently visited Pineapple Villas as a quick family beach getaway. We only stayed one night and that is the absolute most I would do in this villa. Good: Check-in was fast and easy. Receptionist was nice and friendly. The location is perfect. Our villa was truly beachfront. I loved how the property was not too big and there wasn’t a lot of walking needed to access the beach or pool area. The beach area was nice, clean, quiet, and relaxing. Being away from the hustle and bustle of PCB was great. All though this property was on the quieter end of the beach, it was still in close distance to Pier Park. I want to say maybe 3 miles away, which is not bad at all. Bad (this is where stars started falling off): When I read that our villa was renovated two years ago I really had high hopes. Upon entering I guess by renovated they meant painting the walls and adding new flooring. Other than that I did not get a “Recently renovated” vibe. The refrigerator needs to be replaced. There were rust spots all over it. The cabinetry in the kitchen was peeling. The shower curtain rod needs to be replaced. And, the whole unit needs a thorough cleaning. From the upkeep it just looks like someone goes there and make up the bed and that’s it. Window sills are filthy. Floor is dirty. This place has so much potential if the owners would put forth to make it as great as it could be. With the $50 fee that’s charged in addition to the rental rate, it should be used to do a thorough cleaning. And, investing in a real upgrade would definitely bring a good return on the investment. We stayed one night and that is the most that I would ever do there. I just can’t stay in unclean environments. I don’t have over the top standards when it comes to hotels, but cleanliness is definitely a priority for me!! Side note: Bring your own beach chairs and umbrellas. There were a few on the beach, but they are picked up before 6pm
WE were very disappointed in our room, when we arrived we had to wash all the dishes, they were dirty, the paint on the chairs and tables were chipped the blinds over the window to view the beach would not open. the Beds in the Guest bedroom had spings poking your back and the Cable did not work on the tv in guest bedroom. the Refrigerator had rust on the side of it. and the lamps in the bedrooms had been broken. not at all what we saw on the web site. The floors in our room looked great though. WE were very disappointed. The staff at the front desk were nice and when we checked out I told them about our room they said next time ask for a certain room it had been remodled but ours had not.
Our room seemed clean, but very dark. Windows were small and dirty. Could not look out to see what was going on. Our door would not close. A guest there told us to slam it really hard. That didn’t help. Our WiFi never worked. Office staff seemed puzzled by this but only said they were sorry. It came a heavy rain and our room partially flooded. Staff didn’t seem concerned. This room needs to be done away with. We were looking forward to our trip to the beach but was so ready to get out of that horrible room.
Villa 22 had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Needed a good cleaning. Vents were filthy and the fridge was peeling. I would not trust the A/C to work well in the heat of the summer. Stairs needed repair and the outdoor light was not working. Bed was comfortable and furniture was decent. Pool was clean and inviting. Pet friendly which why this was chosen. Parking is difficult for a larger vehicle. Saving grace was the beach and the quiet atmosphere. Staff was nice.
Enjoyed our stay, love the beach, villa could have been cleaner. Had a cleaning fee attached to our bill but our villa sure didn't look all that clean, floors felt dirty and there was dust accumulation. One time I was taking a shower and they shut the water off supposedly because they were working on their little tiny non- commercial washing machine. I stood for about 20 minutes covered with soap in the shower, by the time the water came back on, the soap had dried on my body. Management offered no advance warning about shutting the water off and no apology to me. Location was great and neighbors were friendly.
Walk off hotel steps to beach. Rooms clean. Kind of hodgepodge decoration but good for beach. Staff friendly. Grounds kept up. Pool and hot tub very nice. Picnic tables around grounds. Quiet. Clean. Affordable
Second year of spending time here. Location and staff are great and we really enjoy having our pet with us. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Staying here will most likely become a yearly trip.
