Beautiful small, very updated and great location close to everything with great price. Definitely coming back here on our next trip

We were apprehensive when we drove up, but were pleasantly surprised by the updated look of the lobby and rooms. We only stayed for a night and spent the day out and about, so my review is limited. The breakfast was good, but they should add nonstick spray for the waffle machines. Also, I did hear the train as others commented, but my family didn’t. It was very brief and not a big deal. Overall, a good and affordable stay in a quaint town.

I wanted to like this hotel. Good location, great check-in, solid amenities for the money. Rooms clean & sized for comfort. However, if you're not a dead-drunk sleeper, be prepared to wake up every 2 hours on Sat. night because freight trains pass in front & legally must blow horn (a la My Cousin Vinny movie). Locals told me to request a room on the backside. I did & was told all rooms are subject to the same noise. (Not possible). We were on holiday, so we decided to deal with it. Next nights only 2 or 3 trains passed. Then on President's weekend, signs went up in lobby for guests to stay off carpet as it had been cleaned. Odd time to do it, we thought. We were checking out on Monday and had a late flight, so planned to check luggage & sit by the pool. 1st phone call to office - "no late check out, $10 per hour after noon checkout time". They allowed till 12:30. Next morning, while getting coffee in lobby I reconfirmed noon or 12:30 as I forgot the time & I received the same speech. They ultimately found the note. However, at noon our room key expired and locked us out. After another trip to the office, we hurried back with new key to checkout & check bags before 12:30 only to be told we couldn't stay in the lobby as they were filming a virtual tour. We decided to leave altogether. When a manager approached, I explained my series of frustrations. He said he'd ordered the carpet cleaned and that they did check bags. Neither statement resolved any concerns.

The room was much bigger than expected. We got the King bed suite. The absolute only thing is that the bathroom is on the smaller side.

Nice room, but the shower and toilet are in the same small space. It worked though.

My experience at Jaybird’s Inn was better than expected. It’s a quiet and had been recently remodeled. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated, having all the essentials needed when you are away from home. Conveniently situated and with enough parking spaces.

The hotel was extremely clean and in a great location. It was only a quick ride down to the downtown shopping as well as several great attractions. The rooms appeared to be newly remodeled and was well worth the amount we paid to stay here.

I stayed one night, room was very clean, quite and staffs were great

For two nights out of the three nights there. We had people next to us that we loud and drinking between 1:30am to 2:30am out on the balcony. The first night couldn't get no one at the front desk to complain. Called the front desk three time before I gave up calling. In the morning told the person at the front office and they were going to let the manager know of the issue. The second night called the front desk three times before the police had to be called to take care of the issue.

when you complain about pillows, that means all the rest was very good.

The hotel was clean and nice. Breakfast was complimentary and included a couple of "hot" items (e.g., waffles and pancakes). The hotel is close to I95, which is very convenient, and it is also very close to all of St. Augustine's tourist attractions. We didn't have to drive any further than 5-10 minutes to see everything we wanted. Our only complaint is that the bed was very hard, and the pillows were too soft/flat.

Overall a nice room with close location to downtown St Augustine.

Good value, friendly staff. Convenient to attractions and downtown

The hotel staff were extremely friendly. Our room was very clean, and the hotel restaurant was very good. We will be staying here again!

Easy check in, nice room with a reasonable rate. Staff is very accommodating. I enjoyed my stay. And they had a nice breakfast area. Clean pool and very comfortable beds.

nice hotel and perfect for our stay -- outstanding restaurant at Inn

No elevator. Updated but shows it's age. Good value.

Only complaint is we had the do not disturb sign on the door because we had expensive stuff in the room. We pull up to our room and the cleaning staff was in our room. What is the point of these signs if they just ignore them and throw them on the floor inside the room. Everything else was perfect.

Very happy with the hotel staff. Nice and clean rooms. Very good and reasonable price.

Recently remodeled rooms, breakfast coupons for thE restaurant, and very nice staff

We apologize for the issues you had with outside noise during your stay with us. Our lobby carpets were being cleaned on the off hours that Saturday night in preparation of the scheduled virtual tour. The next day, our lobby was closed for a brief amount of time during the off hours of the day, to avoid issues with guests checking in. Our check out time is at 12PM noon, we offer a complimentary half hour late check out (12:30PM). If you would like to stay later than that, there is a $10 per hour fee (2PM being the latest before charging for a full night's stay) due to our staff having to wait to clean the room. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate you taking the time to review our hotel.
