I am not sure the bedding was even cleaned?? For sure the sheets were stained, the furniture old and chipped, carpet dirty and breakfast was slim pickings. However, I guess it was okay to just get a little rest and move on, but differently old and not kept up. People working there were nice, did get woke up in middle of night as people discussing payment and CC info out in hallway, strange.
I prefer hotels right off the interstate for easy access. Check in with a brand new, young employee was a pleasant experience. She was new to the job but very accommodating and helpful. Nice room with standard amenities. Standard chain hotel breakfast offering but sufficient for my needs. The price was right and the place suited my needs perfectly.
the air conditioner in the room quit working around 2 am. It was about 96 degrees in the room. Turned it off and then back on, it worked around 1/2 hour more then died again. Did not sleep the rest of the night because of the miserable heat. When I discussed with manager in the morning she acted like I was lying and was very argumentative that their air conditioners were just working fine before, like I tried to break it or something. (!) Food was horrible, dried bread, stale donuts and horrible coffee. they have a tiny pool that was dirty and had all kinds of things floating in it, my kid was afraid to go into it. Would not recommend. Had a bad drive out west due to lack of sleep from this horrible place.
The property must be undergoing renovation as our room was very clean. The bathroom was especially clean ... not a single place that wasn't sparkling. The room we had was pretty small with not even a spot to hang a jacket but for a one night stay while traveling everything was more than adequate and definitely a good value. The breakfast room was also kept clean & orderly even after many children had been through. Desk staff was very welcoming & friendly. Great location close to highway but no highway noise. We did hear a few jets take off in the morning as it's near the airport, too.
When we first get there the young man that checked us in was very nice. then we get into out room and there are stains all over the carpet two types of beds one that was very nice and the other was very hard and the bathroom was dirty the sheets on the bed looked like they have not been washed for awhile and lastly there were dirty couches in the hallway and the hallway smelled like mold. WORST experience every we left later that night.
Clearly you get what you pay for here at the Sioux Falls Econo Lodge. Let me first start by saying that the front desk person, young female in early 20's, was really great. She was definitely the best thing about this place. We arrived to find the bathtub and bathroom floor not cleaned. Hairs were visible in the tub and floor. Two gas station drink cups were left by previous visitor in fridge, but not found by housekeeping. The front desk person ended up cleaning the bathroom for us and she found some additional hair on the sink area. Carpets were stained and not well kept up. I would not stay here nor would I recommend it to anyone else unless this was the last place in town. If it is, check Luverne, MN for a place. It's only 20 miles down the highway.
Great price, super nice girl at front desk, clean. Continental breakfast, microwave, fridge, pull out couch in king room w a table. Right off highway. Most important...clean, no odors... for price, would definitely stay again.
The econo lodge north is just off the I 90 expressway. with easy on off access . Its also only a few blocks away from the falls and st joeseph church. There is also some dinning options near by. As a motel its nothing to get excited about. Its clean comfortable beds has tv and breakfast area and a pool. (under construction during our visit) vending and ice on main floor. The room had a mini fridge and microwave that was nice. We were on our way the black hills and stayed here for an overnight. we visited the falls and the church that was nearby. Parking was all around the property and we always found a spot. This place did have its fair share of shortcomings as well. When we could not get the tv to work we noticed all the electric things (fridge, micro, ect ) were plugged into the same outlet. the towels or should i say the one towel in the bath we had smelled like smoke, the wi fi sucks. Being that we were not staying here for anything important. these things were all easily fixable and they did fix them replacing the towels, someone came and got the tv working. The best part was the low rate we got on line i thought it was a bargin for 80 per night.
I stayed here oneday, it was good, the rooms appeared clean and spacious, comfortable bed , staff were friendly they were very happy to help in every way, pool was under repair. Prices are reasonable.
The motel is under renovation by a very friendly family. Phil was an outstanding host and we felt that for the price we paid the accommodations were outstanding. We had a frig and microwave in our room. There were fitness machines and a lovely breakfast. Thanks again to Phil and his family.
