hotel and casino very nice and clean; food was good and reasonably priced. Excellent friendly staff.

Jimbo at the front desk was great!! He was very nice to our little girl. The room was very clean & comfortable. Loved it on the first floor we could walk right outside to the back patio area. Both restaurants were very good!! Very convenient having the trolley to take us to town-there isn't a lot of parking in Deadwood. We will stay here next year when we return to Deadwood!!

Nice clean comfortable room, courteous staff and an unexpected upgrade that was very nice. Will return.

Beautiful resort. It was further away from Mount Rushmore than we wanted to stay, so we did not get to spend a lot of time at the resort. We were not able to spend any time in the casino. The room was deluxe. The food was very good.

We had a lovely sweet, comfy beds and a quiet stay (unlike many hotels where noise travels). Ridiculous that someone would create such a large pool area for little kids and nothing for anyone over 4 ft tall.

Kids enjoyed the great pool, more for kids than adults. Nice rooms but the hit was the great bar and bar food. Nice location too.

I booked this hotel after reading many reviews and they weren't wrong! We loved it. The staff was very friendly, decor was very beautiful, rooms large and beds comfortable. The best part was the sports bar which had ample seating, good food, and all kinds of ambiance. The casino was nice, but I'm not a gambler -husband liked it though. Recommend this place if you want something up the hill from Deadwood with all the perks.

The hotel is nice. Pretty standard but I was traveling with my three children (8, 11, 14) and we arrived late and the elevator was filled with gamblers going to and from their rooms. It was peculiar. Make no mistake, the focus is on the casino and the gambling and the hotel part of the hotel is almost an afterthought even though there are quite a few rooms. We were allowed a one hour late check out b/c we arrived so late but the cleaning staff kept knocking on our door so that kind of cancelled out the one hour grace period. Not a family hotel unless one of the members of your family has a gambling addiction.

Our family of 5 were never crowded in this suite. The food was better than excellent, and the bread pudding was to die for. I'll stay there again!

When we arrived from a day of driving we wanted to use the pool. It was just a playpool for kids and a jacuzzi. No use for adults. For the above price we paid we got one of the only room without balcony. The next morning when I used to internet, I saw that the lodge was offering on their website a two days package for about 1/3 less money and including some credits. I was never offered this deal. At check-out I complaint and the manager adjusted the invoice to match the promotion.

We had a fantastic time at the Lodge. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. We had a fantastic view on our balcony. The food was fantastic. We chose to eat most of our meals there because it was delicious. Don't miss the Happy Hour either. They had great deals on food and drinks. We are are not gamblers and were hesitantt to take our family of four there, but it is a must stay on our next vacation to SD!
