Close to 101 and downtown Mt View. Very convenient. Room was nice and warm (weather was cold when I was there). Easy check-in and check-out

This hotel is far overpriced for its condition. It was like staying at a Motel 6.

Worst hotel with no value for price I paid. Very poor service at checkin and room in not very functional

The only real issue was the hotel didn't have my reservation when I got to check in. I am not sure if orbitz didn't send it or where it was but I had to call orbitz to get them to send the reservation information.

The room was clean, decor was reasonably tasteful, the walls were not too thin. At least from my room at the front of the hotel, road noise was not a significant problem. The free continental breakfast was not fancy, but perfectly acceptable. Lobby service was quick and friendly. The pool didn't look super inviting, but it is October, so locals at least probably don't see it as swimming weather (I'm from MN).

This motel first appeared to be an excellent choice looking at their website, however, once checking in that all changed. The staff was a mix of a helpful young gent on the night shift, to a could care less about the customer young lady on the morning shift. The room was comfortable, but the shower towels were like coarse sand paper. While watching tv, the power went out to the TV half of our room ! Turns out our neighbor blew the breaker when using his micro wave! Called the staff, and he didn't know what to do,so he moved us to another room. This room was okay, except for the overheating fridge which we promptly unplugged! We didn't call the staff, since we didn't want to pack up and move again! This was after 10:30...so much for relaxing after a long day of traveling! Oh,I almost forgot to mention our room key did not work when we returned at the end of the second day. Staff attempted to fix the problem, but his computer messed up and he couldn't find our room! After a long wait he finally gave us keys that worked. We were really glad to leave this motel the next morning.

Staff was not very friendly, breakfast was good with a number of choices of pastry. No vending machine.

The pictures on the website appears so much better...this is a basic motel. The shower water was hot one minute and cold the next. Staff not friendly. Hallway stairs dark.

The photos of the place are nicely done on the web page, yet don't exactly reflect the reality of the place. The morning front desk staff are not polite at all.

This hotel was very clean! It was comfortable but without any frills. All the things you need are there - comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and TV, but nothing was exceptional. It was a nice place at a good price! My only complaint would be that some of the channels on the TV, like HBO had really poor sound or picture quality.

Country Inn is ok if you consider this to be a motel at the price of a 3 star hotel. But I guess that's how silicon valley works. The room is ok and spacious, but it's old and tired. It looks like they did some upgrades at some point such as the wooden floors, but otherwise all appliances, bathroom, sink, etc all look very old, dated, and sincerely beyond their prime. There's no closing curtains, just the privacy curtains, so if you like your room dark, you're out of luck. The location is close to the highway, although the traffic noise is not too bad, it did not bother me, but I imagine it might bother some if you're sensible to traffic noise. If this were a cheap motel, I'd rate it OK, for the price this is disappointing.

Not a terrible hotel for the price. The hard floors looked great, but made the baby next door extra loud due to the echoing. My husband is just under 6 ft tall, and he had to crouch to use the shower head. But everything was clean and we slept fine once the baby next door went to sleep.

This hotel is a dump, don't let the pictures fool you.

We arrived at 2:25 pm, 5 mins before check-in time, only to be told by an unfriendly clerk at the front desk to wait as the rooms aren't ready. After 10 mins, he gave us a key to a room that we went to and found was still being cleaned. When we came back to him there was no apology, not even the slightest expression of regret. Another man at the front desk was even more insolent, telling us it is not the clerk's fault. These people really don't want you there. Take your business elsewhere. I would have given a ZERO rating if it was an option.

A clean comfortable room conveniently located near 101.

Great location, right in the center of the bay area. Just a couple of blocks from Google headquarters, grocery stores, and HWY 101. the hotel is a 45 min drive from SFO airport and a 20 min drive from SJC, Its really a very convenient location. Cleaning staff kept room spotless, they were all extremely professional and friendly. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in town. FYI... No mini-bar or room service here. however, nice spots close by.

Upon checking in, my hopes dropped with the gruff greeting by the proprietor/check-in clerk, and the dismal front office of what proved to be a motel. There were no vending machines or dining facilities nearby, so having not had anything to eat for 10 hours, I ended up with a late afternoon lunch of cold pop-tarts and Chex-mix from the gas station next door. The prospects were dim. So I was pleasantly surprised, despite my room door opening directly into the bathroom (sink area, not the toilet/shower room, which is separate), to find a large, clean room with a faux hardwood floor. The bed was comfortable, and there was a large desk (with a cable for hooking up to wifi...I never determined if it was necessary to use or not, as there were also some other random loose cables), chair and possibly fridge in the dresser unit. There was a coffee machine as well, though just with basic coffee needs and nothing for a tea drinker. The bathroom (foyer??) had motion-detector lights, which in this case were helpful. In another hotel, they were overly sensitive and would stay on (in the middle of the night) way too long. There was a Jacuzzi tub, which I didn't use, but it surprised me to see. The shower had quick hot water with a good shower head. However, in keeping with the quirky Jekyll and Hyde nature of this hotel, when I first grabbed a bath towel after my shower, I had to double-check to see if I hadn't grabbed the hand-towel. Tiniest bath towel I've ever used. Luckily, I was on my own and could use both of them, one for each half of my body. The faux hardwood floor did actually add a bit of attractiveness to the room, and had the virtue of not holding possible foot fungi. They did have the downside of creating noise from the person walking above you. Other than that, room to room noise was minimal, but I was on the back side of the hotel which had fewer guests when I was there. The television, seemed to be hooked up to a hodgepodge of services somehow, as the regular channels came on following by cable channels, and several listed as Direct TV which wouldn't actually come in. I was able to watch the football game I'd tuned in for though, so I was content. There is a pool, which I didn't use or really examine. So, it is a mixed bag. Expensive for what it is, but typical for the Palo Alto area, where I have paid the same for much smaller rooms. It is very close to 101, which is very convenient.

I like this hotel, very nice free breakfast, the room is ok

The County Inn was great for our week long stay. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. They kept our room very clean.
