Hotel was nice and clean. Hotel is located in a great area. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel's location is prime for the San Jose Summer Jazz Festival. I stayed only one night and did not use any of the amenities, but my room was clean, comfortable, and had a great downtown view.

I liked the fact it was connected to the convention center because we were attending an event there.

Hotel location is great, parking valet pricey, no great restaurant food, bar understaffed, beds not too confortable.

Room was clean , very comfortable bed, tv had the ability to sign into Hulu and Netflix , there was a major event and the hotel was very busy yet we couldn’t hear the noise outside our room. We had to park at a city parking garage as their valet parking was a long wait (line went out to the street) . If you’re there several nights expect heavy parking fees. The room had no microwave which is a first in my experience for this hotel but I’m sure if needed they would’ve provided one .

I believe the hotel should have informed us of the ongoing strike going on outside.

Not the best. Very inconvenient due to the ongoing strike. No one bothered to inform us at time of booking about the strike. Not at all worth the price. Bathroom had an unpleasantly smell.

Would be nice if valet parking is free for people who are staying in the hotel.

The staff was great, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the view was gorgeous!

Selected due to its proximity to the City Civic Auditorium..easy walking distance to multiple concert and event venues.

This hotel might be a Marriott, but it is just as shady as the 2 star hotels nearby in San Jose. We stayed 2 nights and were awakening both days at 6am by a person claiming to be hotel staff saying there was a problem with our payment and they needed to confirm our credit card info. They knew our name, room number, and called from the official hotel phone number. Despite all of that, the front desk claims it was not them that called. So it must be an inside job and there is a hacking and scam artist group of employees that are fishing for guesses' credit info. Waking us at 6am on a holiday weekend trip... That's unacceptable. Employees attempting to steal our identity.... That is criminal. Run don't stay here!! The Marriott manager, Jesse, did nothing about the problem nor our complaints.

Comfortable hotel in the heart of the city It was my first time to go to San Jose with my family. We have chosen Marriot Hotel because of its's good reputations. We were not mistaken. The staff was courteous, competent & helpful. The room was impressive because of its's cleanliness, and it was also spacious, with a nice view of the surrounding buildings. We were able to get an extra bed to accommodate 4 people in the room.We had a wonderful stay in this hotel & I will recommend it to my friends.

The physical hotel was very pleasing and my room was pleasant, though service was a real problem. I called their "Personal Service" asking for a makeup mirror delivered to my room. That was about 8:00 p.m. The next 40-minutes, I called two more times, once talking with someone that could speak English, reminding them to deliver a mirror. A building room attendant arrived holding a light bulb. Yes, a light bulb! He spoke no English and insisted on checking my bathroom. He left with his light bulb. I called Personal Service again and the answering attendant did not speak English. I made one-last call at 9:48 p.m. to cancel my request. 5-minutes later I receive a call from them saying they did not have a makeup-mirror available. This was disappointing because 1) English at this Marriott is not the primary language, even the 2-clerks in the small convenience store did not speak English, 2) Why keep a guest waiting 2-hours to finally say a makeup-mirror was not available, 3) I made a stupid mistake letting a non-English speaking hotel service attendant into my room when I should not have. I felt very uncomfortable later.

Great hotel. Great location. Wonderful staff. We enjoyed our stay and it was close to the wedding that we attended. It was also very convenient to the San Josesirport. The staff arranged for a taxi to the airport.

Located literally next door to the san jose convention center. Clean, quiet, friendly staff. I look foreward to my next stay here.

My wife and I stayed there for a weekend while up there for a wedding. The place was very clean and staff was very friendly. There was an furry convention happening at the same time so that was a bit annoying but other than that I have no complaints about my stay there.

needed to stay here for one night. Room is average, but comfortable. Waited a very long time for valet to get my car.
