I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and never had an issue like I did this last stay. Mind you, they have been advertising they have done a remodel or are in the process of one, so you'd expect some parts of the hotel to be off limits and in a bit of disarray, but nothing like we encountered. We were given a room on the second floor when we checked in around 11:00pm and as we navigated to our room, there were chunks of wood and garbage lying around the entire span of the hallway. We had to navigate our suitcases around the mess. When we got to our room (newly renovated), we discovered pink mold around the entire seal of the bathtub, as well as on certain spots on the portion of the tub that you stand in. I was completely grossed out!!! The sink also had no drain plug and was instead, just an open hole to the pipes. Since our check in was so late and we traveled most of the day, we decided to "suck it up" and go to sleep. When we woke the next morning for continental breakfast, it was closed in the front lobby. My husband asked about the breakfast and we were told that there wasn't one while they were under construction. I was told upon check-in that breakfast hours were from 7am to 10am. Come to find out, they relocated the breakfast spot, but I am not sure why the employee working told my husband that it was closed. Thank goodness we only stayed here for 1 night because I probably would have left to stay at another facility. So gross!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This is not a review to share but an observation… I got to the hotel (booked several days in advance) at around 10:15 pm! After traveling for @ 8hours! No one bothered to warn me that the online system for this hotel glitched and rented rooms that were not available due to a remodel! The staff told me on arrival that I would have to find another hotel… they could have let me know in advance and tried to have a list of still available hotels! That would have been good customer service. Bad things get in the way of well intended service sometimes but maybe be a little more proactive with solutions

Good people bad facility
First off the ladies behind the counter were GREAT! The lady that did the breakfasts in the morning was also lights out!!......BUT the keys had to be redone twice, couldn't get into our room and along with the foyer/entryway being redone this place was a mess!!! We also did not get housekeeping for the 3 days we were there, no beds made up, no clean towels or wash cloths, NOTHING! And the controls on the heat/AC did not react well. Again the people we dealt with were great, they just did not have much to work with.We won't be back to Redding any time soon!

I booked this room on the morning of our stay, knowing that I wouldn’t arrive until late that night. I called the hotel ahead of time to let them know this and the woman working said she would make a note on my reservation. After having driven all day from Washington, my mom and I had hoped to get a good night’s rest before continuing on home the next day. We checked in around midnight. Unfortunately, (and in a very scary way), we were woken up at 1:30 in the morning by someone seemingly trying to bust through our door (thankfully the deadbolt and extra lock held), and this same person was pounding the door like he was a cop, shouting “security!” This went on for few minutes and we didn’t answer the door. Obviously we were both startled awake, so my mom called downstairs and the woman at the front desk seemed sort of concerned, and called the “security” guard, and he left. This morning we called down again when we woke up and we were told that they “were checking the vacant rooms.” I’ve never heard of this or been anywhere where this would be the case. We were both understandably uncomfortable and had a hard time getting back to sleep after this had happened, and the graveyard front desk person was only very minimally “helpful.” I had stayed here in the past and had no issues, that’s why I booked it. But I most definitely will not be staying here ever again and would advise other women who are traveling to consider other options in the area.
