Had a great experience at the spa will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful and comfortable garden cottage stay. Bed is exceptionally comfortable. Very quiet setting with an easy walk to the village. Room was very clean with a large bathroom and fireplace. Only disappointment was the room service menu (expensive and limited) and the food in the bar (over-priced and underwhelming). Otherwise, a delightful stay.

The Hotel and facilities were great. Our room (#4) left something to be desired. There was one chair in the other room. In the bedroom, there was no place to sit even to put your shoes on other than the bed. Also you could only watch TV from the bed. The bathroom could stand some modernization. I will stay there again. LB

From start to finish, it was a perfect stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and were able to accommodate every request we made of them. The room was spacious and clean and beautifully appointed, with super soft pillows and bedding and a wonderful spa to soak in.

The grounds at the Inn are a lovely place in their own right, so although this resort is a few miles outside of town and away from the beach, it is a nice destination resort. The Inn is very close to golf, and with a spa and pool on-site. I suspect there is horseback riding available nearby, as this area seems to be an equestrian favorite for riding. Lots of bicyclists riding the hills, enjoying some very pretty vistas on the roads nearby. The staff are very friendly and professional, some of the best hospitality staff I've encountered. Restaurant staff were friendly and my waiter was very knowledgeable about the food available, wine pairings, and cocktails. When asked for a cocktail recommendation, he explained his recommendations with a brief comment that allowed me to make an informed choice. When I ordered a salad for an early dinner, he asked if I would like a protein added, offering chicken, shrimp, salmon to make it a perfect meal! The food and cocktail were delicious, the salmon was perfectly cooked and just the right temperature for a salad. I enjoyed a lovely early evening view of the peaceful, beautifully landscaped grounds from the terrace as I dined. I would come to this hotel again as a place for a peaceful retreat & relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed 3 days at the garden cottage room, surprised to find out how small the bathroom is and also without a tub. The spa does not have a sauna facility for the hotel guests. No do not disturb door tag available so housekeeping always barge in at odd hours... Overall not to satisfactory as a resort hotel.

I was so disappointed I was only booked for one night. I am going back to spend a few days for R and R - a real nice getaway!

Attentive and friendly staff in a spectacular location. This is a place to go if you want to get away from everything and be pampered. This will be a regular stop

Weekend getaway. It was a beautiful place and unique room. Dinner was fantastic. The drive up was gorgeous. Will do again!

Feeling of luxury coupled with comforts of home. Would recommend to anyone and plan to go back whenever in the area. In the heart of town...walking distance to everything.

quiet and peaceful facility, attentive staff, beautiful, expansive and well maintained grounds, clean, good amenities, delicious food

I loved it at rancho Santa Fe the room was so nice, we even had s'mores one night in our room with a campfire feel, it was a lifetime experience and memory that I won't soon forget. Very beautiful environment, landscaping and resort difentely would return and recommend to others!!!!

Room smelled like an old, wet campfire. Shower didn't drain, carpet could use cleaning. I'm not sure how this was rated at 4 stars, 2 would have been generous. Won't be back

This place is a diamond in the ruff, except there is nothing rough about Rancho Santa Fe. All staff is educated and well mannered and professional...especially in the restaurant. my room had a private patio (and that was just a standard room). What can I say - this place is top notch...5 star, not 4.

We were only here for an overnight stay but The Inn is adorable. Our room was spacious and clean. If you were to stay for a longer period of time, there is tons of storage. It is very romantic! The Inn is located within walking distance to small towns shops and a fabulous restaurant. We would definitely go back!

Tucked away in the costly mountains, a nice lush little Inn was waiting for us. Super friendly staff, beautiful grounds, amazing food, chill pool (unless there's unsupervised kids running amuck), this place takes you away from it all.

We relaxed, enjoyed the grounds, enjoyed the pool and the gym. The pool area was not clean on the night of our arrival. Our room also had an old cigar and a dirty towel in it.

This was our second stay at the inn. Unfortunately this one was just a quick over night stay to attend the Birthday party of a friend. The experience was great, friendly helpful staff, beautiful room with a fire ready in the fireplace, equally beautiful grounds and had a great breakfast on the outdoor terrace of the restaurant. If you want the latest architecture then this place is not for you but if you enjoy traditional charm with quiet lush landscapes then then the Inn is for you. PS The prices are also great compared to some of the surrounding hotels.

Spent a brief night at the hotel and breakfast and lunch the following day. The bed was very comfortable and the room large, with a nice patio. It would have been better if the TV had been newer flat-screen. The lobby is lovely, the service was friendly and the lunch breakfast and lunch both good. The tablecloths should have matched and been properly pressed, but the settings in general were very simple, understated and nice. Food was very good. The whole hotel has avoided the 'overstuffed SoCal pseudo Med" feel that I personally dislike. I hope they continue with upgrades but keep the aesthetic simple, clean and historically correct!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe; they put us in a lovely cottage away from the main area which made us very happy as it was peaceful and quiet. It also was totally renovated - had a lot of charm, a fireplace and beamed ceilings I believe, and the bathroom was spacious and elegant with a claw-foot tub and separate stall shower and marble throughout. The grounds are delightful - beautifully landscaped and included a fabulous rose garden which we passed every day on the way to the main building. The hotel is on the registry of National Historic Inns and offers lovely lounges and a main living room with fireplace and high ceilings. The staff could not have been more gracious. The pool was refreshing and large enough that I could swim laps. We were somewhat disappointed with the quality of cuisine in their main restaurant... boring steak, just okay fish, and expensive.... The town is small and quaint- many private, wealthy homes here - and out of the way - not the location to be in if you want to be near downtown San Diego - but it does have some nice bars and a gourmet French restaurant - however, we easily drove in to San Diego for dinner and a ball game at PETCO Park and it was an easy half-hour commute by freeway
