Pacific Beach Hotel

I saved money for a room with a partial ocean view partial city view and this is a great option. At night the ocean becomes dark but a city view you get to see the canyon view of Waikiki high rise hotels lit up, truly charming and inspirational. The best of both world's for a lower price! All together Hawaii is the most beautiful place in the world. I had a vacation of health and well being that I will remember for the rest of my life. Try drinking ginger tea at night a walk at day time. Meditation on the beach at sunrise. And shopping is some of the best world over. "Beverley Hill west." Words can't explain Hawaii you have to feel the weather caress your body, trade winds that keep me coming back year after year since 2003.

My family and I enjoyed the location of this hotel greatly and the easy access to the beach. We also appreciated the beach chair rental that was available as a part of our stay. The valet staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The cons to our stay was that the hotel is under some major renovations. The pool and spa are unavailable so you have to walk to a different hotel to borrow their ammenities. Also, as a part of the construction, there was some major jack hammering and other lousy activities underneath our window. One night the fire alarm in the hotel went off for several minutes in the middle of the night and was a false alarm.

During our stay, part of the hotel is under construction.

We stayed here while part one of renovation was complete. The rooms were very clean and updated. Hotel staff was welcoming and always helpful. Couple downfalls: elevators were horrible but they are working on updating. Biggest downfall is having to pay a 25 a day fee for amenities that were not functional due to renovation. Yes, we were allowed to go to Hilton but we didn't because that was an inconvenience. Overall good hotel and once renovations are complete, I would definitely go back

Room was clean and big. Nice view from room. Convenient to everything. Noise because of renovation. Pool was closed but you could go next door but who needs to, being so close to the beach. Had to walk around construction outside to get to our bank of elevators. Not that big a deal. Elevators very busy at certain times, I walked down 11 flights one time.

Terrible. They should shut this hotel down and train everybody from top to bottom, about hospitality. I had several problems which I'm still trying to resolve. They lost my dry cleaning. They have no room service, yet they would not allow a Pizza to be delivered to my room. The hotel is being remodeled, which is causing some issues, but the real problem is the staff. Clearly, they want to cater to a crowd that isn't used to a Hyatt, Sheraton, Hilton, etc.

The rooms are beautiful, very clean, modern with beach theam. The balconies are awesome and the ocean view is a great Waikiki experience. When the lobby and amenities renovations are completed - this will be a great hotel.

I pay $1551 on a hotel room and no microwave they ask me to rent for 10$ a day, the bathroom was the smallest bathroom it cannot size two people at the same time.

Hotel is great. Right across the street from the beach. The hotel exterior was under construction ( to which we were aware as it was mention in the hotel details before we booked). The room was newly renovated. Upon our arrival, lobby was busy with people checking in....understood it was 4:00. We were upgraded to a superior room with full view of beach and diamond head. Awesome room!!! Hotel was wonderful. Staff great. Very busy hotel.

The room was clean, modern, and looked just like the photo. The main entrance is on a side street but one entrance leads directly to the street that runs along the beach. For all the hotels in the area, I found the beach surprisingly uncrowded. I was only in town for a day. The location seemed convenient to just about everything. I even took a chance and used the public bus to the palace, and that was a straightforward proposition. My two complaints were that I was required to pay $20 to use beach chairs, even though I had no interest in sunbathing and that the room had neither microwave or mini fridge.

Nice hotel, very close to the beach. There were a few restaurants near this hotel. We had a nice view from our room. Staff were nice and friendly. Room was renovated, everything was new and clean. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

The hotel would have gotten a higher rating but they are currently renovating so many of their amenities were not as good as they would have been

Only con is that the bathroom is tiny, room for one.

A lot of Japanese staying here. As an asian, I felt fit in.

Renovated rooms are fantastic. The beds are very clean/comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The small pool is located on the 5th floor of back tower, no pool bar and the sun doesn't hit until the afternoon. We spent all our time at the beach, which is directly across the street (hotel supplies towels and beach chairs). We stayed in the Beach Tower and the odd numbered rooms face Waikiki Beach and even numbered face Diamond Head. You can't sleep with the patio door open due to street noise, but when closed the room is quiet.

Nice hotel, caters to Japanese tourists at the time of our stay (November 2016). The hotel is within walking distance of several ABC stores (local Hawaiian convenience store similar to 7-Elevens in Japan) and the beach. Beach towels are provided. There is a pool and Jacuzzi deck if you prefer chlorinated water. Parking took awhile to find due to the ongoing construction but is to the side of the hotel or there is an entrance at the back of the hotel. Parking is assessed a daily fee. Room was clean and staff were very friendly. The shampoo and soaps had a nice zesty lemon aroma. We booked a room with a partial ocean view, and it was lovely. Our first sunset in Hawaii! I would consider booking with them again if I am ever back in Waikiki, though the city is very resort-y.

Nothing worked, charged for everything and long wait time to for the elevator..... to get to the elevators you had to walk and mile and only 2 worked! There's no lobby and the staff weren't friendly! I will never visit again

constrution was terrible. long walk to rooms. elavators always crowded. customer service was rude

wonderful room. very helpful, friendly staff. as with many hotels in the area there were renovations being done. you didn't hear anything in the room.

Renovation made coming to and from the hotel very inconvenient. I hope it's better when the construction is done.
