This property has a small store/gift shop that closes at 5:00PM. Not very convenient when check in time is 4:00PM. No liquor license so can’t get a beer in store. Restaurant in hotel will not let you charge to your room or take beer back to room. Otherwise hotel is just OK but expensive without those convenience’s.

The room was clean but fridge leaked, and light flickered.

I stayed at the Naniloa while I visited family in Hilo during the COVID 19 pandemic after inter island quarantine was lifted. Its a great location and very convenient. The service was great, and would like to see how it would be once full service is available again.

Staff was friendly and service was quick. Fire alarm went off one night and had to evacuate to a false alarm. But better safe then sorry. Due to the COVID crisis everything was not open or available Aqaba they usually are which is understandable. Love the location of this hotel and the remodeling they are doing. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is ideal for exploring Hilo and Hawai'i. There are plenty of opportunities on site to make a short or long term stay enjoyable. The airport is located nearby.

Check in was great, very helpful, valets were super great, bartender at night couldn’t be bothered, lazy, impolite. Room cleaning was sporadic, had to call one day to have someone clean our room.

Location anb staff I loved the house keepers that were so happy and singing. My understanding is management didn't like that if that's the case you need new management.

We’ve stayed at this place several times before it was a Hilton Doubletree. I wasn’t sure how they were going to manage to upgrade it. Hilton did a great job. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely designed. Great for couples. The staff is very friendly. They give little perks with their resort fees such as a free drink free valet parking and free snorkel gear rental and nine holes of golf. I’ve never actually stayed in a place where the resort fee was actually worth something. I would definitely stay here again.

Hidden/Small-Print Fee alert: $30 a day for room charge. This charge is not included you in pre-booking cost. Once you arrive thinking you are already paid for, they get you with a $30 a day room charge. Sorry, but I'm no fan of Hidden/Small-Print Fees and this loses my business.

Once when I forgot something in my rental car and asked for someone to get it or bring it around, the valet woman told me the car was too far away.

Great way to celebrate New Years on the island. Keep it up! One thing is the bartender at the lobby was grumpy on New Years Eve. The balcony had cracks on the floor.

The location was great but I would think it should have had continental breakfast.

Checkin process took a super long time and Front desk staff is rude and they don’t care how long your travel has been as they will ask you so many questions just for the sake of asking. They ask you so many questions which are not necessary as you already gave that information when you made reservation.. the only hotel Restaurant Hula Hula is super pricy with less portions and not too many options to chose from. Asked for some extra time for late checkout and again front desk staff said totally not possible even though I was Hilton honors reward member. People traveling with family need some extra time say 30 mins to 45 mins To get all their stuff out. The guest laundry was a nightmare. Somebody threw half the clothes out and in order to get 5 quarters one has to go out and get a change from a other shop as the front desk will not help you with that. Then the phone app PayRange that the laundry machines use will charge you $25 for doing a basic dryer run which should not cost you more than $2.00. Then I had to call the PayRange help desk to get the funds back to my credit card And that process takes weeks. The self parking is out of the hotel and one has to walk some distance and the self parking lots don’t have good lighting. So you will end up valet parking most of the time and keep tipping the valet guys. So plan ahead for that. The free drinks coupons is a total waste and for my 5 nights stay all I could use them was to get super sugary drink which is No alcohol

Dingy old hotel, 3 elevators super slow moving, tiny little pool, no hot water out of the tap and shower and no power to the whole hotel at 6 am in the morning (we arrived to our room to find a paper under the door telling us this, it was a scheduled outage but still) We stayed on the 11th floor with no power on in the hotel in the morning we had to use the staircase to leave the building, there was no light to see the stairs as we were going down the stairs with all our suitcases in our hands, my husband couldn’t see well and missed the bottom step and fell forward injuring his low back and left foot and somehow luckily avoided twisting his ankle. I never fill these things out but this stay warrants it. The windows in our room were so dirty we could barely see the lovely view. Power outage aside... this place needs help and upgrades especially considering the lovely waterfront setting. There were a lot of dilapidated buildings nearby too. 2-5 stars. Unbecoming of a Hilton managed property.

Golf is included. We do not golf. Beautiful grounds and water proximity.

Close to restaurants, stores and parks. Washroom should have machine to make change for washer and dryer.
