Liked Jade's dad, didn't like no response to my mesages before arrival

The room had a lovely view of Hilo. It was a rather small room which was ok for us because we only spent one night there but the bed was not very comfortable.

No air conditioning and filthy window fans. No electrical outlets in the small bathroom. Very poor parking options. Poor communication between owner and guest . We left after one horrible, sweaty night in a ridiculously small room. Do not under any circumstances book this facility.

The room was nice, the view was great, the bed was pretty comfortable. I had just hurt my knee so I wasn't thrilled with all the stairs, but that's not their fault. The Jacuzzi tub is what made my day, especially after my fall. My only complaints were that there were ants in the kitchen, and the manager never got back to me about the kamaaina discount.

Beauriful place to spend our first night. The bed is amazing and we had a rooster for a wake up call

I didn't expect it to be someone's home. Father and son team. They are quiet. I didn't even know they lived on the premises. The room was clean, but the bed was a little hard. The towels were a little rough, but considering I could come and go at any hour made up for it. The grounds and location of the rental was amazing. The house is situated on the edge of an extinct volcano. I could see planes landing in the distance. I woke up one Tuesday morning and saw a cruise ship down in the harbor. The views from my room were so beautiful. The frogs were loud, but soothing. I would stay there again; if the opportunity were to present itself.

Good views through dirty cracked window. Surface very clean two black roach like bugs the 1st day. No hospitality no food no breakfast pots and pans. Very poor dangerous parking on the side of the hill. Advertise by Orbitz as bed-and-breakfast no breakfast at all. I never saw the owners. 15+ - phone calls seeking details got one returned call. Owner text he would not be there to greet but the text message arrived more than 30 minutes after our arrival. His 70-year-old father greeted did the best he could which was inadequate. He did not shows how to open a hidden pocket door to the bathroom. The home has 5 bedrooms added on and converted to apartments. The home is a full story walk from parking and a two-story walk up to the room. I originally planned 3 nights and canceled 1 and left early. The home is about 10 miles from the beach through questionable part of town. 2 packets of instant coffee were provided with a small coffee maker. The coffee had nondairy creamer mixed in without options and was the worst I’ve had a long time. It’s best quality was the view. It’s worse quality was its lack of hospitality, communications, and amenities it did not even have a hairdryer.

Located at walking distance of old downtown Hilo. Nice outdoor patio and Japanese-style garden. Good view of Hilo Bay. Small room with small bathroom in need of renovation.
