Pool closed early no breakfast. Down town was too far . On website they said beach was close not true! 45 minutes away.

Would use again. Had all that I wanted for a two night stopover. Spent half a day in Honolulu itself using local bus

The two ladies on duty the night we missed our flight on February 19, were wonderful to help us. The beds were very clean, comfortable & the room was large & spacious. We had excellent TV & Internet reception. The restaurant has good food at reasonable rates and allowed us to share a meal. The chef salad is excellent & more than enough for two senior people. There was a mix of lettuces in the salad, but plenty of romaine (which is healthier than iceburg lettuce), The chef salad had plenty of tender chicken, ham & cheese with other vegetables. We were extremely pleased with the room, climate control system, pool, and all staff members. We stayed here again on April 1,2017.

I didn't care too much about amenities as it was a layover on my trip. After a long flight I needed a good night's rest. Complimentary ear plugs were the first clue. The air conditioner was so loud I had to turn it off. Then it sounded like I was on the freeway. When I looked outside in the morning, I realized the room was almost under a busy free way. The location was great for my needs, but difficult to have a good night's sleep.

The hotel is convenient to many attractions- ex: Pearl Harbor, Hickam Base. If you are visiting someone from the military it is close to much of the housing. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable, the towels were thick. Nice flat screen TV.... however- it is right on the Nimitz freeway. The traffic is heavy and can be noisy. The noise didn't bother me, but it certainly could for some people. Ear plugs were offered but it was unfortunate to need them. Also, you may not want to walk around too much because of the homeless problem there on Oahu. Despite the noise, it met my needs very well.

I got "stuck" in Honolulu for 2 nights due to a problem with my once-a-week flight to Fiji. I booked a room on Orbitz that was about $50 more expensive than the walk in rate, and due to the fact that it was 2am I unintentionally booked the room on my phone app for the next night. The first night they put me down at the end of the hall, but the second night I asked for a room closer to the elevator. I did not realize the highway was close to the window and was woken up by cars way before sunrise. The staff kindly let me store all of my expensive camera equipment and belongings behind the desk all afternoon, as I was unsure if I was going to even need to stay the second night. Thank you!

The hotel was too close to major highways and had a high level of vehicle traffic which meant a lot of noise

Having been in the air for 12 hours, I spent the night in Honolulu before spending 12 more hours to get to my new home. My time at the Best Western Plaza Hotel was just what I needed and I couldn't have asked for more. The driver of the pickup shuttle was a great guy who took good care of me from curbside at the airport until my many bags were in my room. The young woman at the desk was friendly and gave me good suggestions for places to eat. The room was super clean and quiet and I had an excellent night's sleep. In the morning, I had a delicious and hearty breakfast and was in good shape for my return to the airport for part two of my trip. The shuttle driver had me there in minutes. Almost forgot - even the military men and women staying there were friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

good location, but you can't walk to anywhere, nice pool, great parking

good points: close to airport free shuttle to airport friendly staff free internet bad point: freeway right outside my front door. I had to leave A/C on to try and muffle the noise. I rarely grumble, but the noise was bad. You need to ask for a room as far from the freeway as possible.

Until adequate parking is provided, I would not recommend this hotel to others. Parking is permitted against the parking garage wall which is behind the parking stalls (overflow parking). This makes it extremely difficult to exit the stall if a car parked against the wall is directly in front of your stall.

Good location for a quick overnight airport stay. Very noisy outside and at pool since you are virtually under the very active freeway and lots of road noise. Restaurant and store on site and can walk to restaurants and shops nearby.

Wasn't pleased with the location nor the parking. Had to pay $30/night to park in their parking structure. Otherwise, were supposed to find a place in the surrounding area which did not look overly safe. LOTS of noise from the traffic, but was not bothered by it because the room was well insulated to muffle the noise. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. The staff was friendly.

This hotel was a big disappointment. Our first room smelled awful so we asked for a different room. The location is awful ( not the best of neighborhood surrounded by freeways) unless of course you need to get to the airport really early.

They werent the same as any Best Western I have ever stayed in - while clean, the place seemed really run down - single pane windows with wind and rain blowing in through closed windows, noise from the freeways made it almost impossible to sleep. Appreciated the parking garage although it costs on top of the room and the pool was nice.

It was a good stay that evening the only thing was that the shower pressure was weak half of the water came out thought the shower head and the other half though the faucet part. Other than that the staff were very friendly and great. :)

Under a highway that was built after the hotel was erected. Freezing cold brought dirty blankets to keep us warm. Staff were gems but overworked

Not within walking distance to many restaurants. If no car best to stay somewhere else.

We stop on our way into Hawaii and when we leave in April. We connect to other islands the next day so we are well rested when we get to our final destination. This would be a good marketing idea to capture one day customers heading out to outer islands the next day rather than traveling from the mainland and to an outer island all in one day, too exhausting but cheaper. A special discount would narrow the cost gap and be appealing to travelers. Location is perfect to get back to the commuter lines, less than 5 minutes.

clean and close to the airport and Hickam AFB...staff very nice, free shuttle to and from HNL airport
