The employees were very friendly and helpful.
Very good stuffing service. Room are nice and clean
Nice room and employees. When replenishing the room, they left a pile of towels, TP, Kleenex, and coffee maker condiments on the kitchen counter, in a literal pile.
Staff was terrible. I lived in Hawaii for a number of years, and what I loved most was the Aloha spirit. This was not present with the check in and check out staff.
This was my first stay at this location. I was really impressed with the friendliness, cleanness, and ambiance created by staff and at architecture of the Ilikai. Maevan checked me in. He was friendly and prompt. Wayne , handled my luggage, and was very friendly. Maria gave me great advice regarding sites to see and of visit. The valet staff where very professional -'d although busy, we're very prompt. David gave me excellent resources for good food places. Overall, I was not ready to leave and truly wanted to e tend, but there was no availability. I had to go to the hotel right next door, (I won't mention names). Although nice, and a great view, the room layout here and space, cannot top the Ilikai sunset view and balcony. Additionally, the kitchen was another added amenity that was wonderful. I will be back. Good experience.
Ilikai is an iconic old-school "Hawaiian-type" of a hotel. It is at the further end of Waikiki, but that is good because its quieter. Also very convenient to Ala Moana Shopping Center.
Loved the stay! Fully stocked kitchen, mind blowing ocean views, excellent location, walking access to beach, nearby stores and restaurants, friendly staff - this place made our vacation a beautiful one! Will definitely go back!
The check in process was horrible, room wasn’t ready at the time of check in, was told I would get a upgrade, got to the room no upgrade, changed from that room to another
Third time staying at the Ilikai. The only issue I had was that the room was only cleaned twice in 10 days because of Covid-19. But staff was great in bringing to the room towels and supplies that the daily cleaning staff would have otherwise provided. Everything else was perfect. Can't wait to return.
Didn’t like worn and stained couch. Coffee pot had not been cleaned plus Grounds were still there.
The view from the top floor was spectacular but the facility and service was almost not there. We brought some sand to the bathroom floor from the beach so we needed to clean they couldn’t provide the cleaning service but loaning us vacuum. We cleaned our place by ourselves; stayed there for A week no cleaning service provided. we needed new bedding they brought us sheet so we can change ourselves ; they did not have staff to change. They did water pipe checking one night, next morning we did not have water then by the time we had water, rusted water came for a long while…..short staffed almost no service available too expensive for that kind of service
Great location.
July 2021. Thoroughly disappointed in this hotel. Booked a much needed vacation with my wife and two kids, 10 and 14 years old. Our total price amounted to over $450 per night, which is a good amount of money and I don't think it's unfair to have reasonably high expectations for that price. The hotel location is good and just what we wanted, walkable to Waikiki but also a little removed. The lobby is beautiful, and our suite with a kitchenette was nice at first glance until we noticed it was clearly not cleaned at all well between guests. The hotel amenities are ok, the paddling pool was too shallow for my children but would be good for toddlers/newborns. The main pool is far too small for the hotel and often was full so we couldn't enter (total capacity is 34 persons), it is also a bit clumsy to get to and seems like an after thought for the hotel that was not part of the original design. Celebrations for 4th July by the harbor were good (but not put on by the hotel), and the hotel guests were extremely rowdy to the point that at 2am we couldn't sleep. We also then had party neighbors to the side and above us. We then had a shower spout that fell apart, then a broken toilet handle, and the final straw was a cockroach in the bathroom. Room services were understandably not at full level due to COVID, but building trash (smelly) and having to call/wait for every item (towels, soap refill etc) is not ideal for a $450/night resort. I will definitely not return, nor recommend.
It’s a great place to stay but unfortunately we did not have a/c for 2 of our 3 nights there.
The hotel was very nice. Everything was clean and the rooms had lots if space.
Interior was outdated and carpet was really dirty. Kitchen and bathroom were in great shape. Great views and valley has an amazing staff.
