The only good thing I would say it’s location. Property is very outdated and old. Everything is peeling off. Looks like motel. But staff is nice and beach is across the street. We had fun.

Great view, good location. Other than that the hotel has an odor of mold or must. Sewer smell on the first floor. Only thing that was good was the breakfast every morning on the 21st floor and the staff up there was friendly. The check in staff was just overwhelmed and stressed with weather and I get it. Had no power the first day, elevators were down. Nowhere to dine. Trying to be mindful that my trip isn’t as important as people who lost their homes and property to this storm. And Orbitz trip insurance doesn’t cover weather related issues with the property….

Inform people at check in that the what is assumed is complementary breakfast actually cost 55$ per day and then takes very little responsibility for not informing people after spending 6K + to stay there and pay 600$ just for valet shocking. Next time we will stay somewhere else for our 10 day vacation this place didn’t live up to its name at all. The only one that did was our house keeper

This is our third time staying here (second since it was renamed/sold). It’s been renovated and is a remarkably reasonable price for an oceanfront property on the Waikīkī strip. We enjoy the Beach Candy gear but wish there were 4 tokens a room or 1 per person as the 3 tokens mean someone in our family of 4 goes without a chair. Fantastic staff - friendly and knowledgeable. Our flight is always a red eye and they store our luggage after check out so we can get the most of our day. Rooms are on the smaller side but can’t beat the views and price.

Greeting from the female reception staff was lack luster. The hotel is old and dingy looking and bathroom is way too small. They only gave one sitting chair when two people are usually in a room. To get your water bottles refilled with the purified water you have to go all the way down to reception or the first floor which is weird. Our king size bed was very squeaky. There should at least be one on each floor where the ice machines are. Cleaning staff was very nice and friendly. Location is all right as at end of the strip.

Room was very dirty, there was dirt hanging over the head of the bed. We’ve asked staff multiple times during the day to please clean the room and they assured us that they would do so. Upon returning in for the evening, we found that the room had not been cleaned. Staff was set to leave 10 minutes before we walked down to ask about why our room hasn’t been cleaned. The staff came upstairs with the broom, and tried to sweep the hanging dirt from the ceiling, which then caused popcorn ceiling to fall all over our items in the beds along with the dirt. Obviously this was unacceptable. The clerk at the counter told us there was no rooms available to switch us to and we needed to wait until the morning to fix it. We ended up booking another hotel and walking the streets of Waikiki in the middle of the night with our young children and belongings. We were relieved Alohalani had space for us that was clean and welcoming. Our advise to Twin Fin is to invest in their cleaning team and ensure the space is cleaned appropriately. Even the elevator keys were packed with grime.

This hotel is great. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was a king bed with a partial ocean room. We got to wake up to an ocean view on one side and Diamond Head on the other. Great value.
