The hotel was amazing! The staff was excellent, everyone super friendly, happy to help and go the extra mile. The rooms are beautiful, and the views are gorgeous. We got upgrated to a room with a full porch and it was the best thing, we absolutely loved having that porch and sitting out there to enjoy it. The restaurands at the hotel property are great and provide excellent service as well. The beach is beautiful and clean. We loved seeing the dolphins at the property and learning more about them as well from the their trainers. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property - hasn’t changed since I was a kid - staff is great..on the best least crowded swimming beach. The staff everywhere was wonderful. The dining on property is amazing! If you want splurge suite 701 has the most beautiful view and it’s huge. Housekeeping was flawless.

Great place to stay at the staff and crew were friendly. Love the location away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but close enough if you need to go there. Had a great experience again and will hopefully come back soon.

The hotel was quiet and peaceful and distanced from the Waikiki area. Its beach was semi private to the hotel guests and family friendly. We will definitely stay again whenever we return.

A bit tired looking. Needs a refurb.

Great location but the hotel looks very tired and a bit tacky in places. The decor needs an update. The coffee and croissants in the shop are heinously priced. $20 for a machine made espresso and a synthetic pastry is insanity. Needs a proper coffee shop. Too many weddings also meaning half the hotel was inaccessible.

My wife and I absolutely love this hotel. Honestly, one of my favorite hotels anywhere in the world we’ve stayed at. After the first time going to Hawaii, we stayed here and have never stayed anywhere else.

Disappointed With Room Assignment – Not What We Booked We booked the *Ocean Front Lanai* with **2 twin beds**, expecting a view of the resort pool and *Kahala Beach* as described. However, upon arrival, we were given an *Ocean View Lanai* with **only one king bed** and a view that overlooked the **parking lot**, not the ocean. This was especially disappointing as the *Ocean Front* room was more expensive than the *Ocean View*, and we had specifically chosen it for the view and bed configuration. We brought this to the attention of the staff, but unfortunately, the issue wasn't resolved during our stay. The rest of the resort was beautiful and well-kept, but the mismatch between what we booked and what we received significantly impacted our experience.

It makes me sad to leave this beautiful, peaceful place. The Kahala is certainly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at—at least recently. From the valet staff to the front desk to the servers and housekeepers, the Kahala provides excellent and friendly service. The location is convenient—close enough to Waikiki, diamond head, and other tourist spots but not too close to the noise and crowds. Our view was fantastic—we had a spacious balcony overlooking the pristine golf course next door and the mountains. Our room was spacious and incredibly comfortable. The Plumeria was great and there were a handful of other restaurants but I do wish they had more lunch and brunch options as a lot of them opened only for dinner. Their beach was also wonderful—calm and incredibly relaxing, providing plenty of space to reflect and take in the amazing ocean views. I certainly would want to come back and stay here again should I come back to town!
