It was a great location for walking around Manhattan, staff was friendly, room was clean. Rooms and bathrooms are very tiny - we got a King suite and still thought it was small. I guess this is normal in the city. Pillows were very flat. Great perk was that they have free breakfast and they had a good spread for a free breakfast.

Clean room. Convenient. Subways a block or less away. Cleaning staff and maintenance are very nice. Front desk workers aren’t as friendly but they aren’t rude. Air conditioning worked well. It was so great having a kitchenette in the room because I had leftovers every day. The remote control for the tv either had dying batteries or it was just hard to change the channel or turn up volume. It’s a much smaller room than you would get at hotels in other states that I’ve been to. I had to put my luggage underneath the table to really maximize space but I think this is a NYC issue because I went to other friend’s hotels and space was an issue too. They have a shuttle to and from airport. To jfk it was $80 plus whatever you decide to tip. Overall, great hotel. However, The biggest issue I had was that it was very noisy. I could hear whenever someone on my floor exited or entered their room. Doors slam hard and when people are strolling in at 3 or 4 am, it can be a jump scare. At first I thought people were slamming their doors but I realized it is just how the doors close even when you try to gently close it. I could also hear everyone’s conversations in the hallway. I couldn’t hear much from the street. All the noise was coming from inside the hotel. It wasn’t even like people were yelling. I noticed the door of each room had an opening under the door that is probably how some of the sound is getting in. This may be an issue for guests with babies and toddlers.

The room was very clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable and they offer several pillow options. The location is perfect for events at MSG and proximity to Penn Station. There was very little city noise and no noise from elevators or neighboring rooms. The room is small, but not unusually small for NYC. Breakfast was excellent and the fitness center is perfect for a short stay.

The staff was Great and helpful; the hotel is located in a great area (Times Square is walkable) and the commentary breakfast is good. The only thing you might not like is waiting on the elevators(which out of the hotels control), the rooms get HOT at night and stay warm during the day. But overall I would come back and stay…. But just bring a fan lol :)

The rooms are small and there is not much room. I suggest you pack small luggage and if you’re sharing the room, that you really like the person you are with. This was our 4th time staying at Townplace and we absolutely love it! The staff is fantastic! The rooms are clean. Walter has checked us in our last two stays and he is the absolute best! He’s a gem! We misunderstood something on the listing and he helped clarify in the most courteous way!

Superb Hotel

This hotel was brilliant, room was spotless, kitchens was fantastic, the bed was so comfortable (pillows could of been better) the shower was lovely, absolutely massive. You also get a free breakfast, there was a lot to choose from. Quality was really good. The staff were all amazing with us, we have disabilities and they couldnt help us enough. We've been to NY many times and this is the best hotel we've ever stayed at, thank you to everyone who made are stay special
