The Westin New York Grand Central

Pillows way to big and hard, very uncountable, they didn’t, have other option. Bath tube was derty, safe box malfunctioning, charged me $18 for a glass of milk. Excellent location, half block away from subway station. Staff nice and friendly.

Everyone was great, Diedre and Lilly at the front desk were a pleasure. The coffee shop manager ray was nasty, rude and obnoxious

Our stay on May 11 was wonderful! Westin Grand Central was comfortable, convenient, reasonably priced and all staff we came in contact with was pleasant. We especially appreciated the front desk representative who checked us in - her name was Deidre - she was gracious, super-friendly, had a smile the entire time we were with her and made us feel welcome! Glad we chose Westin to spend our daughter's 18th birthday celebration in the city.

The $25 daily fee was frustrating and unnecessary. We really never had an opportunity to use and it felt like money wasted. With the fee occurring daily, it added up quick. Otherwise, the stay, rooms and location were excellent!

No reservation on file when I checked in at the hotel, where I had prepaid for two nights, despite my having a reservation confirmation e-mail from Orbitz. Hotel manager contacted Orbitz, who declared that they had no reservation in my name. I waited an hour for the hotel manager to sort things out. All due to the lack of professionalism on the part of Orbitz. I then discovered that the room would have been significantly less expensive if I had booked directly through the hotel. First and last experience with Orbitz.

Great hotel, the beds should be qeen size not the smaller size.

Hotel was ok.the view was great. Just wished I had a fridge and microwave in my room.

The location makes this hotel a good choice. The room was smallish, the bed was not so comfortable and the room service was terribly overpriced. They charge an additional fee upon arrival, but do little to explain what the fee covers.

Pros: Very helpful staff Cons: Un-expected charges during the check in "Destination fees $25 a day" it was so not part of the deal and bizarre when i booked the hotel there was never a mention of that and i was never informed about this i would have appreciated if they had told me about this fee. also i had paid for breakfast and we end up learning there was no breakfast only muffin and cold pastry to grab and go. this was so unprofessional, i was charged for continental breakfast and come to find out there is no breakfast. Shower and bathroom were not clean at all.

It was a good hotel. Destination fee was outrageous.

I loved the location. Hotel was very nice. Room was comfortable with a great view

my experience was very good ! From the staff to the rooms everything was pretty darn good!

We always stay at SPG properties... the rooms are always clean, have friendly staff, and great location close to subway, good restaurants and sites

Stayed here for a few days with wife and kids. The location being near grand central was beneficial as we used the subway to maneuver around. Would recommend staying here. Rooms were comfortable and everyone was very accommodating.

I really enjoyed our stay here. The beds are plush and comfortable. The location is a nice perk. It’s a block or two away from the nearest subway entrance. It’s also very close to grand central which is a great site to see. Depending on the location of room, if facing 42nd it can be loud as all the sirens and honking will keep you up. Request to have a room away from there if able to. Hotel even helped when it was raining lending us all an umbrella for the day.

I've made dozens of trips to NYC over the past 40 yrs - this ranked as one of my/our BEST! The Grand Central Westin is perfectly located steps from THE transportation hub, outstanding resteraunt spots and entertainment as well...

It was a good time in New York and at the Westin Grand central hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a great convenient location!! Clean and big room for New York and close to everything but quiet at night.

Very nice hotel. Easy access to all of NYC either by walking, cab or subway

Front desk staff were not very friendly or accommodating. Had to hunt an ice machine that would work. If you wanted a soda you had to go to gift shop on first floor. The pillows on bed were not good. I will stay somewhere else mainly because of front desk staff.
