Great location. Very close to many attractions and subway stops. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. The room was on the smaller side but it is Manhattan so that is to be expected. It was tidy but not completely spotless. There was an incident where the steam from the shower set off the smoke detector but the staff called to check in immediately and shut the alarm off within 5 minutes.

Multiple broken outlets/switches in the room. The $80 “resort” fee which offers no amenities. The minibar was grossly overpriced. $12 for a tiny thing of candy or nuts. Certainly not a 4 star hotel. This was more of a 3 star average hotel without the “resort fee”.

Gorgeous Hotel! I never would have guessed as its tucked away, but it delighted me and my boyfriend. Very clean, kind and friendly staff, plus we had full control over the thermostat (huuuge plus for NYC winter where heat is A LOT all the time.) Again, the Scandinavian minimalist design was gorgeous. Had a pretty large room for a NYC hotel with a king bed. I would come back again!

The staff was able to accommodate a higher floor after making the request on our first day. Hotel staff was very accommodating, responsive, and room was clean. The TMPL gym amenity perk is very much a pro, and the best wine and cheese happy hour. The only opportunity I saw was the need for an upgrade on furnishings. I saw some wear and tear on bed frame and restroom tile

The good: the staff was friendly and helpful, the location was great, the room was pretty quiet for the location, we appreciated the bottled water at the front desk, and the bathroom products were above average. The bad: there wasn't a luggage rack, the bathroom was a bit dingy, the bathroom door squeaked which was annoying at night, the comforter had a tear in it and a stain, and the sheets smelled musty. The unacceptable: the heating unit didn't work consistently; in fact, it only gave us heat one time and otherwise it only put out cold air, so we kept it off most of the time, which made the room uncomfortably cold in November. We should have told the staff earlier, but we kept thinking when we got back to the room at night that it would work again, but it didn't. We gave them feedback on checkout because we didn't want others experiencing that, they were empathetic.

Building is under construction. Street noise was loud and kept us up till 4 am. Elevators tiny and cramped Heater would not shut off. Room got to 80 degrees and maintenance took awhile to get to the room and attempt to fix it.
