The Evelyn is a very nice hotel in a very convenient location. The staff was extremely friendly and very efficient. Check in was smooth and quick. The room was a fair size and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommended.

Room was fair and minimalist. Manage expectations, as it’s an old building with tiny studio like Manhattan apartments. Lobby and customer service were great. Location is its biggest seller. Upgrade to the bed would be a substantial improvement.

The Evelyn is a super cute hotel with a vibrant atmosphere/ bar. Rooms are very cosy and we loved the art deco style. The staff were amazing and really made our trip! They were so welcoming , sweet and helpful at every moment. They even managed to get us last minute bookings at some top restaurants. This hotel is great value and is in a very cool/central location. We avoided the free breakfast as it’s not great and a scramble for a few seats.

The room was fabulous and bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful and accommodating. My room shared a wall with elevator shaft and it is audible but did not impede my sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

Characterful hotel, very well located. Clean rooms in good condition, comfortable beds, good sized bathrooms with good water pressure, friendly helpful staff. Fun music-themed decor a big plus - this is not a bland corporate hotel, which I liked. Free wine in the evening and free wine bottle in the room, if this is important to you :) Downsides: drinking water required fetching at hotel reception. No free coffee provided as standard in room.

Cute hotel, great location, but overall disappointed. I never do bad reviews but, alas, here's the breakdown: 1. I booked my stay here for the prime location but also based on great reviews about their cocktail bar. The hotel was hosting a wedding that weekend and the bar/restaurant was closed to the public, huge bummer. 2. I called days ahead to explain we were celebrating a birthday and to inquire about having a bottle or glass of something in the room to celebrate upon check-in (precisely to make up for the cocktail bar being closed). The man at the front desk was helpful and agreeable but when we arrived to drop off our bags prior to check-in (again, which I gave them a heads up about) they instead gave us an early check in and had no note about the birthday. I inquired again if I could purchase something to celebrate my fiancè's birthday in the room and they again agreed... and then we received nothing. 3. The "Breakfast Included" is not legitimate, they give you a voucher for the tiny cafe in the lobby that is "grab and go". I blame myself for not researching further. 4. The staff was nice even though they didn't fulfill my inquires. The room was cute but not worth the price considering it's size, uncomfortable bed, flat pillows, and terrible view (with sheer curtains). These are the times I regret going boutique and wish I had just booked the Holiday Inn (or what have you).

I would say it is overpriced. The rooms are small. They are decently well appointed but nothing to the extend that would justify the price. It is a great location, they have a great bar and restaurant downstairs. That’s about it. Friendly staff. Comparatively speaking it felt a bit in the overpriced side. I was disappointed with the room size. It vastly under delivers.
