i have been staying here for over 10 years, i never stay anywhere else. i know the city well and this is the best location for my needs close to the subway great roof top bar and easy to get downtown and midtown.
Staff were super friendly and professional. Great location. If you like the gym do not stay here their 'fitness centre' is actually a closet. Tiny rooms, very clean but with dodgy brown carpet. Totally basic business hotel. My window looked directly onto all the aircon units. Was too scared to open it in a week! I Did not try the restaurants.
When visiting NYC, which we do often, we always stay at the Park South. We stayed there in April for a friends 50th birthday, along with all the friends celebrating. We stayed there in November for the NYC marathon. Every time it exceeds expectation. Service is phenomenal. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. It is expensive to stay in Manhattan but this hotel is always a good value. We had breakfast with our package and the breakfast was amazing and very filling. Lots of choice. You get a little menu and choose from 7 items such as Eggs your way, pancakes, Breakfast croissant. The coffee is really good and the juice is fresh squeezed. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I love this place and have been staying here for years. It just keeps getting better. Location cant be beat right next to the 6 line and very close to Rockefeller Plaza and to Empire State. We stayed with our 6 year old and it was fantastic. He was so welcome and the stay was very comfortable.
everyone was friendly, however there was not a single cup in the whole room. room was also very smal but that could just have been the size my program chose, to save money. other than this everything was fine.
Extended my stay in the city and had to find a hotel with a day’s notice. Definitely lucked out when Park South! Beautiful rooms, reasonable price, exceptional staff and great restaurant for brunch! Will come again
I stayed at the hotel in 2014 and 2015, a couple of days in 2014 and 10 days in 2015. Although beyond my budget, although reasonable value, the hotel had rooms when another reservation was not honoured and I had nowhere to stay while on holiday from the UK, I did find the air in the room rather unhealthy at times but otherwise it was a very attractive hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff and altogether a good experience. It is also very well located and safe to go out for food after midnight. The breakfast was good, although I personally liked the way the restaurant was before it was refurbished. I did look out the back of the hotel the second visit but I didn't mind this as I used to work in the adjacent building for a short time, I thought, although it was then called NYIBT. I think I videoed in the room or out the window but don't think I took photos.
I have stayed in Manhattan in various hotels for 18 years. This even beats the Ritz! The room is charming and spacious, something rare in NY city. Location is great and staff is super friendly! My new favorite!
It was our second stay at Park South Hotel and we will return for sure. The location is super, the staff very nice and the rooms clean and comfortable. As well the food and service in the Restaurant Covina is good.
Couldn't find a more relaxing hotel anywhere in the city. Great location, comfortable bed in luxurious room, tasty eats in the restaurant downstairs, and best staff all around. I've been staying at Park South the past few years, no where else in the city I'd stay.
Stayed 5 nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. The helpful and friendly staff were super. I emailed the hotel to let them know it was a special occasion and they replied just 20 minutes later! At check-in we were delighted we had been upgraded to a King Executive. Not only that, they sent up champagne and chocolates later. Front desk had great suggestions for restaurants in the area. Didn't try hotel's Japanese restaurant but Covina was very good. Afternoon wine hour during the week was a nice touch. The room faced 28th St, nothing special about the street, but we could see the Chrysler building a few streets away. Room was a good size and nicely furnished. Bathroom did not have a bathtub though I believe there are other rooms that do. Loved the convenience of the buttons for "do not disturb" and "please make up room." Coffee machine, iron, ironing board, mini-fridge were all there. Housekeeping did a great job every day. We tried to get the fan going for some air circulation but when we lowered the AC, the heat kicked in. That was the only (small) issue with the room. Did not hear much noise from other guests (our room was near the elevators) but we did hear some street noise. Late at night we noticed there were a bunch of men playing cards across the street so we could hear them too. Location is fantastic - super close to subway, 24-hr convenience store, 24-hr pharmacy, lots of restaurants. Tourist sights also very near but thankfully the hotel isn't in tourist-central. I always prefer the personable service at smaller hotels and this hotel was no exception. Thank you, Park South.
