Park South Hotel4.0 out of 5.0

Stayed for 5 nights in the Park South Hotel, having stayed there before approximately 9 years ago. Hotel has been refurbished since last visit, is very nice but has lost some of its original charm. I booked a larger room as there are three of us and although the room was adequate size, we had only a large walk in shower and no bath, which personally I would have preferred. The bed was extremely comfortable but the blanket on the base of the bed was not very clean, therefore we removed it before we used the bed. Quite off putting, although everything else was very clean in the room and hotel. No breakfast included now and the first morning we purchased breakfast at the hotel which was very nice but something we could not afford every day. The deli next door is excellent quality and value and if you time it right you can eat in, sitting at a bar stool. No Black Swan bar and restaurant anymore for dining in the evening, which is a shame. Doorman very friendly, male reception staff friendly and helpful although some of the female reception staff need a few lessons in customer service. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, hotel is clean and modern but I think that should we visit NYC again in the future, we would probably look for somewhere different to stay.
this hotel is very close to the office I work on, so it was great to stay there. It is well located, there are a lot of stores and places to eat and the metro is just on the corner. The service is very good as well as the breakfast. I just missed a fridge in the room and some more places to store my clothes, but I loved the 2 showers :) and the huge bed.
Was in the City for my niece's graduation from Barnard. Greeted at the airport by Bennie, a driver who contracts with Park South to pick up people at the airports. Bennie was very professional and could negotiate the horrible NYC traffic. At the hotel, Jason met us at the door and after checking in, followed my sister and I up to our room with bags. Though our room was on a busy street, the noise was manageable. It was very clean with comfortable beds. The shower was a bit different, had the rainshower head but could not figure out to use it until I pulled a lever by mistake, otherwise I thought the pressure Head was not going to get the soap out of my hair. It was laughable. During our visit was the Time Square driver who killed one young woman, injured others so taxi cab service was disrupted for a day. Unless you enjoy 95 degree heat and walking many blocks, it was miserable since cabs were scarce. All in all, the trip was good, too hot but I can see why people like to visit.
Great Hotel with roof top, breakfast was good as well as the Covina restaurant. We were upgraded to executive room due to a twit about the hotel. It was also worth doing the ad ons. 5th Avenue was a short walk which would take you to Empire State Building and Central Park.
Our favorite place to stay when visiting our daughter who lives within a short walk of Oark South. We love the roof top bar (missed it when we stayed in November) and like eating at the Covina at least once during our visits.
I have reviewed this gem before and am very pleased to add that it did not disappoint. Some of the staff has been there for our several stays and seem to recognize us. Chuck was especially helpful. When in NYC, this is the place to stay.
Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms and clean. Bed were very comfy! I asked for a wuite room which i got so thats perfect for me. Great location in terms of Subway and getting about to attractions on foot. Would recommend for sure :)
This was our third time to stay at this wonderful hotel. I'm continuously amazed at how clean and welcoming the rooms are and how friendly and warm the staff is. We were warmly welcomed by one of the staff members who actually remembered us from our previous visits even though it had been over 6 months. This time around my husband was delighted to find that we were close to the High-line and he really enjoyed being able to walk it each day. The location is great. We could easily get wherever we wanted to go but the hotel is in a much quieter and less crowded location. Park South has definitely become our hotel choice whenever we visit our daughter in NYC.
I booked this place only for the location and the price but I have to say it is a great place to stay if you're looking for value for your money. The staff is super attentive and the rooms, although small (like every other hotel in NYC) are modern, clean and comfortable. I will gladly stay again at Park South Hotel
Great location v near the subway. Reception suggested a v short walk to the amazing fairway market on 26th st for picnic ingredients and then hop on the subway to Central Park which was a great idea! I am v fussy and was pleased that the hotel was clean, v friendly helpful staff. Popular restaurant under the hotel, good food but quite expensive. Room was v small but to be expected in NYC.
