This is a decent hotel in a good location. The rooftop bar is fun but make sure you stay on a higher floor to avoid noise. Also, the design of the room's bathroom has an opening in the door that leaves no privacy.
We have been coming to the Park South ever since we moved away from NY. When we come it is like coming home. Great location and great staff. The hotel offers three restaurants which is good as well. We will ba back again in July!!!
My family and I stayed at the Park South the night we had a dinner party at their wonderful restaurant Covina!!! The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. Very reasonable rates. The staff was accommodating and friendly...especially Mario who went above and behind to make us comfortable. We had my infant grandson with us and Mario took such good care of us. Great hotel!!
Cozy little hotel with some nice touches, small but adequate rooms and a pleasant bar and restaurant to unwind in after a hard day's work. Not quite a boutique hotel but made for an enjoyable stay in a calmer part of the city
This nice, clean hotel with small but well appointed rooms does not have a true "boutique" feeling that it aspires to. The reason? The front desk experience. I expect that a little counseling of the front desk staff will turn this around.
Very enjoyable stay at a reasonable room rate ($340 oer night for two nights) in a renovated boutiquey hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Just needs to add a couple of important details such as complimentary water in the room, and feather pillows instead of artifical foam.
We stayed here as part of a group for work. The hotel is located on E28th Street and is a few minutes walking distance of Park Avenue and Madison Avenue. There is a subway station at the top of the street. Location area has restaurants, shops and coffee shops. Doorman and reception throughout were helpful and knowledgeable. There is a restaurant at the back of the hotel (opens at 7.30am) and coffee shop (07.00am) for an earlier coffee. There is a roof terrace (open to 11pm mid-week and later weekends) - there is a little noise from this but nothing major. The reception area is a little dark but there is plenty of seating and it is clean and tidy. Our room was on the 7th floor (not sure what grade but I believe there are standard and exec rooms). The room was small but this is the norm in NYC but had everything needed and again was clean and well presented. The main room had a double bed with side cabinets. A smallish wardrobe, desk, mirror, flat screen TV, safe, iron and small ironing board. The hairdryer is in a bag on the back of the bathroom door (took a while to find it!). There is a cooling / heating system but it is a little noisy but the window opens slightly for fresh air. Window has a blackout blind. The view out was not that great (into other rooms/next building) but as we were hardly in the room it didn't matter. Limited space for suitcases once unpacked. The bathroom had the usual low US bath, shower, sink, large mirror shelf and was well lit. Again clean and tidy. The hotel has a car that transfers out to the airports. Fixed fee to JFK of $65+tip. Car was reliable and driver helpful. If you are looking for a good base in the mid-town area with easy access I would recommend.
I was here on business and given it was Christmas, availability at last minute was limited and prices were high. So when this was available and at a good price, I have to say my expectations weren't great - but I was wrong! The rooms are spacious, well-equipped and quiet. Beds were super-comfortable. WiFi was really reliable (important when travelling for work) and staff were really helpful. The only one slight downside is no room service. There is a great brasserie-style restaurant at the hotel and you can order from there, go down and collect, which gives you an option, but its not as convenient. Would definitely recommend and will book again
Zero complaints, super clean, conveniently located, great cafe and restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Brad was especially helpful and super friendly! Thanks for a great stay! Wish we could have stayed longer!
I travel to NYC a lot and this is hands down the best hotel I have stayed in. I plan to stay here again and often when I come to NYC on business. The room was super clean and really beautifully decorated. They had wine and chocolates waiting for me on arrival and everyone was super nice!
