Hotel staff was welcoming and very helpful in suggesting food and subway information. The junior suite was perfect for the 5 of us with plenty of room. Very convenient to subway stations, shopping, and plenty of food.

It's not a 5 star hotel, but we had a very nice stay at the Skyline. For the combination of amenities and location, it's hard to beat.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in NYC. We wanted to hit most of the major attractions, see a few shows and eat delicious meals. Found a well priced package for this hotel and couldn't have been happier. Walked to most of the major attractions from Central Park to the Empire State Building from here. It was a few blocks from the action which meant less street noise and people crowding the sidewalks. Lots of restaurants and theaters are within walking distance too. Our room was well appointed and newly remodeled, such a nice surprise. The beds were comfy and slept like a baby after a long day of sightseeing. A few negatives about the rooms....1) walls are thin so could hear the people in the adjacent room but it was quiet by 9/10 pm every night so not a big deal and 2) the fans are very loud so if you like to use the fan as "white noise" do what I did instead. Turn off the fan, download a free white noise app, and listen to ocean waves all night! Highly recommend this hotel. Save your money and skip the high priced and loud Times Square properties. We are so happy we did!

My husband and I reserved and paid for a 2 night in a superior double room with a view. We drove 4 hours to New York. On check-in we were told that they had to demote us to the smallest room they had with 2 twin beds. We were not happy but at that point there was no other good choice. We got to the room to find that it was tiny, barely enough space for the luggage and no place to put our bathroom toiletries. Additionally, when we arrived back to the hotel after dinner, we found the toilet was clogged. Next day we were told that we could move to the room, we actually paid for. The room seem fine but the ac/heater did not work. The manager told us we would get reimbursed for the difference in room price, but that never happened. We are still chasing that reimbursement back. I would not pay this room fees for such a poor quality stay.

We had to have our room changed as it smelled like someone had thrown up and the window was opened when we walked to probably hide the smell. Front desk was very apologetic and we had no problem changing the room. The 2nd room smelled better but the heat did not work. A member of the staff did come up and was determined to get the heat working for us. Kudos to him. Overall experience was ok, staff was very friendly.

Great help from front desk staff with all our questions! Especially recommendation for breakfast at Giorgio's Country Grill! Missed our opportunity to use the pool. Never had a pool be closed during the day. :-( Everything else-perfect!

Skyline Hotel is a great location, close to subway and Broadway. Large guestrooms for NYC, highly recommend

Overall the hotel was fine just not great. The Mexican restaurant was below stand for NYC and expensive.

Our stay at Skyline was incredibly comfortable. The pool is great and has amazing views and the staff was very helpful. The beds were comfy and the room was surprisingly large for Manhattan. I would definitely stay here again.

We very much liked the Skyline. The room was very clean and the staff was quite helpful. It is a little off the usual tourist track but close enough to excellent neighborhood restaurant options and an easy walk to major subway lines and tourist attractions. You must purchase WiFi access in the room, but access is free in the lobby while you are a guest. We booked a 5th floor room facing 10th ave with a fantastic view of the cityscape. The price was reasonable and we would book this hotel again.

I spent hours trying to find a spot in NYC that would fit 5 people (3 adults and 2 children). I came across this hotel. It wasn't in the heart of Time Square, but was within a short distance to it. From the photos, I wasn't sure what to expect (location wise). It ended up being in a pretty neat area, and was able to walk to and from everything (Central park, time square, radio city, the Subway and did this even after dark). The hotel room was huge! We had the 2 room suite on the 7th floor. We took advantage of the pool up in the penthouse with the awesome view of NYC. The staff was helpful, the room was clean and $10 valet parking. You can't find that anywhere else in NYC. The only down side (I knew this going into the reservation) was that there was no coffee maker in the room. My wife said she needed a cup of coffee in the morning before walking out of her hotel room. Other than that, the place was great!

The Skyline was located blocks from the Lincoln Center. The stay was pleasant. The Mexican restaurant was excellent. Overall the staff of both the hotel, restaurant and parking services was one of the best experiences in NY.

The location was ok -still expensive to take cabs.Room could have been cleaner.

convenient stay it's cheap and you get what you paid for

Great stay with my nephew.. quiet at night. Beautiful view of the city skyline from the penthouse pool! Highly recommended. Great value.

bargain price for an excellent midtown hotel!
