Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel

Came over from Staten Island for a quick 24 hours in Manhattan. Came to meet our first grandchild, but I wanted to give my husband a Taste of Times Square and Broadway. We checked in at 4, walked to dinner, then saw a wonderful show at the O'Neill. Afterwards we regrouped at the hotel before going to my favorite piano bar on 46th. Stayed 'til 2 a.m. Then walked back to the hotel. Not bad for two New Grandparents!!!

We loved everything about this hotel. Very course to time square and the amenities were fantastic

The Renaissance New York time square is a nice hotel in the heart of Times Square. The hotel bar has an amazing view with floor to ceiling windows over looking all the hustle and bustle of Times Square. The hotel concierge Matthew was very helpful in securing hard to get reservations at the River Cafe. About the only problem we had was the hotel not restocking the coffee maker supplies. One morning they did not restock the cups and the next they did not restock the coffee. I called downstairs and asked for a pot of coffee to be sent up. No room service. The did send some coffee up. All in all it was a nice place. We will probably stay there again next year.

This hotel was part of a package deal with flights, so I did not know what to expect, but it far exceeded my expectations. At the end of our stay, the concierge sent up a bottle of wine and a snack pack for travel, with a personalized note!

This hotel was a perfect spot in Times Square. When I arrived they put me in a different room than what I had originally reserved. That room was having water issues, the water only ran warm for less than 30 seconds and went back to cold. I called front desk and immediately they sent up a mechanic and gave me a new room.

Convenient location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Never a wait for the elevators. Hotel was clean and well lit. Will recommend and stay here again. Great view from our room.

It was our 10th anniversary trip. We asked to be upgraded and concierge agreed right away, gave us room on 23rd floor as they had availability and offered us FREE breakfast every day for both of us! Great experience!

Very nice hotel -bathroom was great & mattress was fantastic! We didn't expect it to be so nice!

Location is everything with this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was laid out well, however, it was in rough shape and the bed looked and felt dirty. The whole hotel had stagnant, musty, heavy air. It just felt gross. The $8 bottled water in the room tasted old and gross too. No ice machine on our floor either. No room service. I don't understand why any hotel like this doesn't offer room service.

What a great place, location, staff, restaurants and views. LOOK NO FURTHER. FAST,, FRIENDLY, STAFF FULLFILS ALL YOUR NEEDS. GREAT ROOMS AND WONDERFUL DDRYKS AND FOOD,

Great location and customer service. Room was excellent and extremely clean

Would recommend this hotel! Clean, quiet (despite being in the heart of Times Square!). Friendly staff

The Renaissance was in the perfect location for all the activities we had planned for our trip! The staff were friendly and professional, and always greeted us when we returned to the hotel. We stayed for four days and our room was always neat and clean each day. The concierge assisted us in acclimating ourselves to the area, and suggested several nearby restaurants to visit our first night...but her best advice was to "wander the area and go in to something that might speak to you!" (We found a lively little Irish pub just down the street.)

Great location just outside of time square. Very helpful staff. Got stuck in one of the elevators once. Heard from other guests that this was a problem for them as well. But the maintenance crew worked fast to get us out and they were aware of the problems and were working on correcting it. The air conditioner could not keep the room cooler than 78 during the day and 76 during the evening. It was hot that week. Was not worth changing rooms for. It was still comfortable. If you plan on using any Bus tour company use the Grayline company. The main pickup point is right outside the hotel. Although get ready to be told there opinion of things instead of sticking to any script.

Location, cleaniness, staff, everything was wonderful. The staff greeted us every time we walked in or out, very attentive to our needs.

Spent Thanksgiving week here. Outstanding room, lounge, service, etc. The high spot was that the concierge was 3 of 3 in recommending outstanding small local restaurants that were close enough to walk to (within about 4 or 5 blocks of the hotel). I would go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful location, friendly staff, extremely clean rooms. We did look for a summary of the amenities in the room and couldn't find the brochure. Had to ask the staff. Minor item and would recommend the entire trip.

The hotel is in the nice location with few steps away from subway station , few meters away from buzzing Time square . We had a wonderful time here ..

EXELLENT!! THE HOTEL IS NEAR TIMES SQUEAR AND VERY CONFORTABLE... WE LOVE NYC.. WE COME BACK SOON...

My husband and I traveled into NYC for the evening to see a Broadway show and stayed at the Renaissance Hotel. We were quickly checked in, and upgraded to the 24th floor. You enter the hotel at ground level, and then take a short elevator ride to a "main" floor where a second set of elevators awaits to take you to your floor. Our room was clean and comfortable and our room faced Broadway. The room was not at all noisy, and has darkening blinds to keep out the light. While visiting, we also spent time in the R-lounge which was great, except for the slow service. We would definitely stay here again!
