Wish I could have seen the completed construction.

Complete mess . Property under renovation. Extremely rude staff.

Awesome people, rooms &location ...Fronr desk kindness #Lisa

Art deco hotel with great location near Penn Station and Metro 6th Ave line. Right now some construction going on in the hotel forcing the closing of its' restaurant and some floors. Each time I stay at the Metro they seem to be working on some type of construction. Overall, the hotel is a nice place to stay in the Herald Square area.

Very nice hotel close to everything you want to see in New York. It is small, old and no frills but overall it is a very nice place and updated. Staff was very friendly and always willing to help. Elevators are small, but adequate. Stair cases and hallways are very narrow but wasn’t an issue. We had the simple king room and though small, there was plenty of room for two adults and the bathroom was adequate for one person at the time. Room was very clean and updated. It had a small desk, desk chair, sitting chair with ottoman, king bed, refrigerator, good sized closet with a safe, iron/full sized ironing board. TV cabinet, one window in main area, bathroom with a window, small counter and good sized shower. We found the location great. At Hotel Metro you don’t get the people outside trying to sell you stuff or hassle you about tours, etc. But within 2-3 blocks you are in the Times Square area. There is a rooftop terrace with a few chairs and tables that offers great views of the Empire State Building. Free! Their bar/restaurant is under renovation. However there is a restaurant across the street that they recommend and food was good and had a nice little bar. Down the street and around the corner there is a great casual place for breakfast and lunch called Toast Cafe Brasserie with signs welcoming Hotel Metro guests. Overall very pleased and I would use this hotel again.

We had no problem getting to any place we needed to go. Also close to subway entrance as well. Hate the grill was closed for renovations but maybe we can try again when it is open. Very friendly staff and efficient

Friendly and efficient staff. Great location close to Herald Square on one side and 5th Avenue on the other as well as near Empire State Building. Reasonable price for Manhattan. Some nice amenities like complimentary wine served in late afternoon. Continental breakfast was fine. Room was clean. Tiny, but functional, bathroom. Would go back again for sure.

The reception area was informative and friendly especially Natalya. One room had a street view which we liked. Breakfast was good with a large assortment of choices. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the reception area. The wine stewart was friendly and helpful. The roof top view was beautiful especially at night. We will be back again. Marie Mandell

Love the staff very friendly and helpful . The breakfast was nice and great wine drinks in the evening that were free , close to everything walking distance.

This is a nice hotel located very close to Penn Station and Broadway. Room was big by New York standards. They provide a free Wi-Fi, adequate breakfast and wine tasting. Fitness room is fine.

From the moment we entered everything was terrific! Very nice room, complimentary sodas in the fridge, free Wi-Fi, free coffee, wine each afternoon and a nice breakfast. Bathroom was spacious and the shower was above average. Even provided an umbrella to dodge the rain drops. Great location, next to Herald Square. Will definitely return.

We loved our room and the location! Enjoyed the free wine in the evening! Free breakfast! Kind and courteous staff! We were thankful for the complimentary sodas and water in our room too! So many little perks! The rooftop was amazing! We got take a great a photo of the Empire State Bldg! All the staff made us feel special! Will definitively go back! Right by Macy's, the Empire State blding, and short walk to Times Sq and Rockefeller Center! Near everything!

Excellent location and customer service , great breakfast. Very clean

Good location, the room small but clean. The breakfast too limited. Bathroom clean. The male Staffs are really nice, but one of female reception not really help.

Hotel Metro was a great location for what we wanted to do, everything was walkable. The hotel staff were very nice. The hotel is very attractive, a bit dated but has nice character. The room also, a bit dated and quite small but clean and very comfortable.

Stagg was friendly, room was clean, loved the fact that it was nearby many places.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Hotel Metro is currently renovating our guestrooms, restaurant, guest lounge and library with expected completion later this year. Work on guestrooms will take place on unoccupied floors, and work in the restaurant/lounge/library will take place behind a wall. We will always work to minimize noise and disturbance to our guests. We are glad you think we are a nice place to stay in a great location, and we are always happy to welcome back our return guests. We hope to welcome you again soon.
