Hotel Metro was a great location for what we wanted to do, everything was walkable. The hotel staff were very nice. The hotel is very attractive, a bit dated but has nice character. The room also, a bit dated and quite small but clean and very comfortable.
Stagg was friendly, room was clean, loved the fact that it was nearby many places.
Very nice hotel. Kind of a fun boutique feel (art deco inspired decor). Extremely convenient to NY Penn Station (5 minute walk).
A older hotel in Midtown Manhattan, has been well kept and nicely decorated maintaining the art deco motif. Room was clean, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only noise I noticed was street noise, but what can you do, you're in Midtown where all the action is, and even then it really wasn't that bad. The complimentary continental breakfast was nice to have and featured the usual goods. Beds were comfortable, only negative I could point out is the flat screen tv was a bit on the small size.
Favorite spot in the area and I've been to a few - great bang for the not so expensive buck! I've stayed about 4-5 times over the past 2 years.
Hotel Metro is in a great location and is a great value. Hotel bathroom on the 10th floor was small but fully upgraded with the best shower ever. Room was updated cute with flat screen tv and free wifi. The hotel also provides a breakfast buffet which is always nice but it was very carb heavy with breads, bagels, muffins, and pastries as the bulk of the service. Another nice fearure was the rooftop which was open to guests for a great view of the Empire state building. The location is hard to beat as it is in the middle of alot of action. However, even on the 10th floor we heard loud screaming, honking, something crashing, sirens, ect almost constantly. It was very hard to sleep but otherwise a very nice visit.
Upon arrival, met by friendly desk clerk and learned my room had been upgraded. This was a very pleasant and welcome surprise. Loved the king room- comfy bed, seating area and desk area. Also included was complimentary water, coffee and soda in the room. Continental breakfast was ok with an assortment of bagels, breads, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit pastries - which I found to be a bit stale. But the complimentary wine happy hour in the eve was also a pleasant surprise. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would def book this hotel again.
I've stayed here quite a few times when I come to NYC for business and this is actually my preferred hotel to stay at. Staff and service are excellent and its in the perfect location to reach all my business meetings conveniently.
Our stay at the Hotel Metro was short lived, however it was well worth our money. The only complaint was not having the pleasure of enjoying the rooftop bar. Staff said its a seasonal amenity and it was currently under construction. On the plus side we were allowed to purchase a drink from the bar downstairs and take it up to the rooftop and enjoy the sights of the city. The hotel is in a great location easy access to the subway and shopping-Macy's it right on corner from the the hotel. Staff was friendly and informative. The room was smaller than we had expected but cozy. Rooms were stocked with complementary sodas and water. Overall our stay was pleasant and memorable.
It was a clean Hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous. My sister and I had to take a last minute trip to visit a friend in the hospital. I was worried abt sharing the a available double bed with her since our personalities tend to clash. We received a room upgrade which was lovely. There was a clean gym with great equipment and a deck with a nice view of the city. The location is just a block from major stores and a few blocks from times square. Definitely staying here next visit to NYC.
Excellent Location , Staff super friendly and beautiful rooms
The hotel was well located, the room was extremely clean, there was complimentary water and soda in the room and free continental breakfast, the WiFi worked well, the staff were efficient and friendly. The room was fine for me to travel alone on business, but was really quite small in case I wanted to travel with a friend or my family, which is the only reason I took one star off of Room comfort. Otherwise I plan to stay here on business in the future also.
Rooms are your standard small new york rooms to give it a classy New York feel and the overall place is quaint and cozy!! Staff and service are exceptionally friendly and accomodating! Location is great. Subways are minutes away and Time Square is within minutes away. I would definitely stay here again. Prices were a great deal - amenities make it a 3 star hotel but with a 5 star service.
Great view of Empire State view. Roof top view is great.
pretty nice place with very convenient location, room is clean and the price is very nice.
I stayed this hotel and the location was perfect! I was vary satisfied with the cost.
Fine hotel with one glaring exception. The Wi-Fi was terrible. Most times I could not get on-line, and on occasion, mainly after midnight, I could not stay connected for more than a few minutes. This made it much harder to arrange my stay in New York, make reservations, find directions, etc. This was a very bad blemish on an otherwise fine hotel.
Very good place, if a bit small. I would come back again.
nice hotel just as expected with a very large bed. goodlocation
The hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel is very clean, not just the room but other parts of the hotel. The room is a bit small for a big family but maybe okay for 3-member family. Everything in the room looks new. The complimentary bottles of water and cans of soda in the fridge was a pleasant surprise (a bigger hotel we stayed in in the same area of the city did not even have a fridge inside the room). Staff was very helpful. The business center offers privacy since it's in a separate room. Breakfast buffet did not have a lot of choices but it was substantial. The 24 hour coffee in the lobby was very nice after walking outside in a freezing temperature.
