Hotel Edison

The location was absolutely amazing, right in the heart of it all. You could not ask for a better place location wise. The down side is that it is really old and it shows. We only slept there an didn’t care. So as long as you are more interested in locating vs luxury this would work for you.

I was quite surprised by the spaciousness of the room. The old property seems to have been thoroughly updated, while retaining the distinctive art deco both inside and out. Located in the heart of the Theatre District, the hotel is just a half block from the TKTS booth at Duffy Square. While the restaurant prices were beyond our budget, there is an affordable deli just a few doors down. My wife and I were very pleased with the Edison.

Its deceptive cheap. No microwave, no fridge, 65 bucks a day to park a car plus the NYC rip off fees at about 60 bucks a day tacked on. They cut corners on trying not to clean the room or give yoy towels. The shower is bare bones with a single non adjustable head (who doesnt put at minimum a shower wand on these days). Rooms are super small. Beds have feel like sleeping in quicksand.

Great location in heart of Times Square. However, the rooms need a major face lift and a thermostat. We live in a 21st century and this hotel didn’t even have a thermostat to adjust the temperature. The room was uncomfortably hot and was unable to adjust the heat or turn it off.

Beautiful hotel with art deco details and so close to everything you want to see! The friendliest staff I've ever met. The concierge Robbi helped make our weekend extra special.

Lovely classic Art Deco place right off Times Square. Very helpful staff, nice beds.

OK, here is what you need to know about Hotel Edison. It is not the nicest hotel in NY by any means. But 1) the location cannot be beat - it is 1/2 block off times square right by the TKTS booth for discount show tickets 2) it's reasonably priced and 3) their rooms with 2 beds have QUEEN beds. If you are travelling with more than 2 people, that is a huge plus. We won't stay anywhere else when our kids are with us, and maybe even if they aren't.

Hotel was nice. Lobby is really busy with people trying to check in and tours so it can get noisy and chaotic. Overall it was a nice experience!

Next to times squre might be most strangth. All staff was awesome

Love the location and the family-friendly atmosphere. The front desk gentleman was very engaging and personable. The doorman was also wonderful.

The hotel rooms are very different than the pictures posted. The rooms are not updated and were very old. The bed was extremely firm.

Hotel location was excellent howevervthe room assignment left a lot to be desired had to request a room change duevto noise and location second room not much brttet leak in the bathroom cracks in wall heating not working no proper seating in the room or lobby. People sleeping in the lobby rest room in the lobby used by resturants and guests not equipped to handle crowds lots of buss trippers filling the lobby hotel needs a refresh

I made a reservation for a room with terrace and I did not get it.

The hotel, all the staff and the LOCATION was EXCELLENT! We were within walking distance of Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, many theaters, restaurants and a subway station. This location cannot be surpassed! The room was excellent (cleanliness and bed). And because we are very inexperienced travelers, the staff were always answering our questions and giving suggestions. Because we arrived late due to a delayed flight, we ate in Friedman's, the hotel restaurant, and grabbed a drink on another afternoon at the Rum House. Food and drinks were great as well as the service. What a treat to have this in the same building without going out in the cold after a long trip or a long day sightseeing. AMAZING FACILITY!
