It was good. Great location for broadway and Times Square

Super close to Times Square. All staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

The location of this hotel is awesome. It is central to everything in the city, and just steps from Broadway and Times Square. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They even let us borrow extra umbrellas since it was raining. My biggest beef with the hotel is that the pictures of the rooms on the website DEFINITELY did not match our room. It looks like they have done some renovating ABOVE the 8th floor. We were on the 2nd. We have wallpaper peeling off the walls, and holes cut in the wall to access the electrical. I would definitely stay here again, but I would insist on staying above the 7th floor.

Great service around midnight after my flight got cancelled

Registration staff very rude I asked you questions about the room and about the possibility of getting a different room and The gentleman that checked me in was very disrespectful

When I first checked in and went up to my room, I was very disappointed. It was very old and not all what I expected. The paint was peeling off of the baseboards, the bathroom was tiny and it had a pipe wrapped in insulation running up the corner with foam insulation around the top going through the ceiling. However, the room was clean. I asked for another room and was told none was available at that time. I checked again in the morning and a very nice woman, Justyne, helped me. She absolutely knew customer service!!!! She was very kind and helpful and did everything she could to get me into another room. The second room we were given was a "Signature" room and was so much better than the "Classic" room I had to start with. It was updated and very nice and comfortable. I would most certainly stay here again when I return. I suggest when you make your reservation, ask for a Signature room or Signature Suite and as for a room that doesn't face 47th street (very noisy). I don't think you will be disappointed. I was disappointed that this hotel does not has a restaurant but there are a lot of places nearby to eat so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Great location! Very convenient! Close to train station. 25 minute ride to Brooklyn. 20 min walk to Central Park.

Very clean and kid friendly, room was small but just enough for what we needed, so close to everything. in the midst of renovations so no bar or kitchen but not really a biggie since it was all just a stones throw away anyway.

Hotel Edison was quite comfortable and it was convenient to all the major Broadway theaters (which was my primary motivation for choosing it). I appreciate that the hotel was in the midst of upgrading it's facilities -- the only drawback was that more than half of the elevators were being replaced during my stay which made for some very long lines at the elevators at peak times. That said, renovations will surely be appreciated by future guests! This hotel is truly in the heart of the "City that Doesn't Sleep" -- on weekend nights especially, there was a lot of noise and light outside (music, crowds cheering, police sirens, etc) until well after midnight. That was not a problem for me since I can sleep through anything, but for someone who needs quiet and darkness to fall and stay asleep, this hotel might not be the best choice. I enjoyed my stay very much and would happily return.

Fantastic hotel!! Can't wait to stay there again!

It was so close to Time Square and plenty of yummy places to eat close by! All the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful.

We came to New York for a long weekend for my birthday. After I booked the hotel, I called to see if I could get an upgrade or anything special for my birthday. They said yes, I would get balloons and chocolates on the morning of my birthday, and that they would put a note in the computer. Neat! When we checked in, I reiterated that we were there for my birthday tomorrow. I never got anything the morning of my birthday or when I checked out. I know it was a courtesy, but if you're not going to deliver, then don't promise! And it was worse from there. When we got into our room, it was a little chilly, so I put the heat on. Or at least I tried to. The heater was just blowing cold air. I called the front desk to let them know, and they said they would send someone up, and to their credit, the workers arrived rather quickly, within ten minutes. They tried fiddling with it, and my husband and I decided to let them at it while we went out. When we returned, the room was warmer - because they brought in a small space heater. So our room was heated for two days by a small space heater. And I suppose that would have been fine, but the room heater kept blowing cold air and we could not turn it off, so our room was on the cool side for the duration of our stay - just what you want when the blizzard of 2017 (Stella) hits! Plus, in the middle of the night, we smelled something burning, like hot plastic. The space heater cord was overheating and my husband burned his fingers unplugging it.

If you're like me, come to this place. You will love it. I met the worlds biggest adorable cockroach in the bathroom

Loved the area as well as the hotel. Pretty clean rooms. Security, which is important today. Definitely recommend. L

Close to Times Square, subways,Central Park, great restaurants and theaters.

Newly renovated spacious room with nice bathroom. Keurig coffeemaker in room and a safe. The room did not have a refrigerator or minibar, but did have complimentary water, tea and coffee. Staff are helpful with storage of bags and hailing cabs. The Edison is right off of Times Square close to Broadway shows.

I travel to NYC once a month , to shop, see a play and be part of the city dynamic . It's important to me to have a safe, comfortable stay. Customer service is critical to me. Hotel Edison is my choice because it meets my expectation every time. I love this place -because of exceptional customer service.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed! The location was awesome and right at Times Square. It was very cozy and comfy. I would definitely recommend to others!

Location was great for everything you would want to do in New York City. Hotel room was small but clean. Very few amenities. Some hotels for same amount of money had a lot nicer lounges for relaxing and having a drink.

Hotel is in a great location - convenient to theater district and Times Square as well as subway stations. Otherwise, it is old with very small bathrooms in need of renovation. Our tub was In very bad shape. Our TV stopped working altogether. The lobby is very small and the furniture is overused by the constant crowd of people sitting there waiting on their tour giuide or group.
