The staff was great and the hotel is nice our room was very clean and spacious. The layout of the room results in a small bathroom and a tiny closet. There is a full length mirror but it is across from the closet in a dark narrow hallway that leads to the bathroom rendering the mirror useless. The room lacks storage since there are only three very small drawers, 2 under the safe and one in a nightstand. The biggest issue overall is the noise. There is a lot of street noise we were on the 4th floor and in the corner of 8th Ave and 48 and it was quite noisy. We were able to sleep but for a light sleeper this would be difficult.

The window in the room was broken and condensated and leaked freezing air and water all night. The front desk told us there were plenty of rooms and they could accommodate us after our train cancelled, when we went to book the night they suddenly said they could not accommodate. The front desk was not nice about this whatsoever and basically said tough luck. The doormen and bellmen stereotype and only help people with high end luggage. Definitely won’t be saying with Kimpton again

Great staff, big room by nyc standard, service responsive and above and beyond, great location, convenient, breakfast was delish, decor and overall experience felt elevated and well designed. Only watch out - if you need to go to airport, don’t take the black suv that are waiting, was much more expensive than quoted flat fee once I got to JFK, driver was not experienced, I wasn’t late, but glad I built in extra time, driver was not familiar with route to airport, construction confused him, he didn’t speak great English and my Spanish is limited…tell doorman to get you a cab.

Stayed for 7 nights for a work trip - had to move on the first night because my room was so loud, right by the elevator and water machine so constant noise. Some of the rooms are interconnecting which means you can hear your neighbours very loudly. Because of the good location, its very loud - it's also right by the fire station so often loud sirens. They did move me after the first night to a higher room which made the rest of the stay more comfortable. Very clean hotel - staff aren't particularly friendly.
