Hilton Garden Inn New York/Manhattan-Chelsea

Clean hotel, spacious room. Shower is one of top 5 worst showers I've ever taken. Extremely noisy fan on furnace/ac. Very clean, comfortable bed, close to a Starbucks, McDonald's, subway stop, bus stop, etc. Staff is professional but will not give you one bit of info about hotel - simply your key and room number. Not rude, just not helpful. If you want no muss, no fuss and can hack a thin stream of water that barely rinses your body but is affordable - this is your place. I would go back.

Loved the hotel! Perfect location! Very close to subway station. Traveled with my teen daughters and felt very safe!

happy to stay n tell friends... to come stay there too

I stood at this hotel for one night. Hotel was very nice and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable and i had a nice view of the city.

This hotel is hidden in the flower district. Breakfast is overpriced, you are better off going to a deli or diner. While we were there (3 nights, 4 days) one of the elevators was always out of order making leaving or arriving difficult because it was usually 30 minutes before you could get on the one working elevator. The bellman was awesome! If you needed a cab he would find you one, no matter what.

Our party of 4 agreed this hotel was a great choice, pricing, location, personnel. Room was clean, we were always greeted by friendly faces and helpful staff. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Great location and reasonable price for NY city. Happy hour was 1/2 price (take advantage!). Room was very clean but the bed was not very comfortable. The mattress needs to be changed. Do not schedule taxi services with the front desk, we made the mistake to schedule a cab to the airport on our last day and were ripped off! Yellow cabs are much cheaper.

This was a pretty average hotel. It was nothing great.

Hotel was not accommodating with weather travel needs for cancellation.

Nice location, perfectly good room. Not super exceptional, but hard to get anything really great in NYC without shelling out a ton of cash.

Happy with our choice. Good Location, Nice Clean Room, and Friendly Staff. Plus good free coffee.

clean and good location it is close to trump tower 5th avenue ,central park and etc

Oh the BED is so comfortable! It's close to everything. We never had their meals because the prices were outrageous. The staff was more than friendly. Will definately return.

The hotels location was great for what we wanted to do. Quieter neighborhood, lots of flower shops, not as crowded as touristy parts of the city.Would stay again

It was a good experience, and the hotel was centrally located.

I just needed a place to crash in Chelsea area for the night and this worked out fine. The only weird thing was a strong scented room freshener that was kinda awful. Other than that no problems.

If you can get a good price for this hotel, it's a very good value. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is convenient. My room was a little small but it worked our well for a short business trip.

Staff was so helpful and nice. Loved the hot apple cider after our cold walk out in the city

Got very low rate-Sun night in Jan. 28th St between 6th and 7th, 5 min walk from Penn Sta, 1 block from good subway line. But totally dead area, especially at night. Middle of wholesale flower district. Safe but only nearby acceptable restaurants open later are two on 7th Av, pub-type atmosphere. If you want NYC excitement and options just outside hotel, not a good choice. But besides transport access, location also good for quieter sleeping. Room size (I had 2 Q beds) large for NY, pretty new and nicely appointed-big counter in bathroom. Rooms have small frig and mircowave and lobby sells a few things to prepare in room. Light could be better for reading. Linens nice quality. Biggest complaint, like for growing number of NY properties, no closet but instead small armoire with low rod, so coats and slacks drag on bottom. Have to keep shoes, luggage etc out in room. Small but nicely equipped exercise room. Unlike many properties in this category, no free breakfast. Small breakfast-only lobby restaurant open in mornings in you want to buy there-otherwise McDonalds on corner. Would stay again if price low enough. Did not need WIFI so cannot comment.

Pro: The location is so good, very close to Empire State Building and not far from Time Square. Quiet at night. Con: Not convenient for eating out around there.
