No cleaning of the room, for Sightseeing best Location, room is very little
The quality of the room and the professionalism of the staff was remarkable.
I would recommend this hotel as it is easily accessible to the subway, shopping and sites. The service was great very friendly and attentive staff
Well great location everything it's close by . Will recommend to everybody will book again
This hotel had what we needed for a short NYC stay. Room was tight but did have amenities for a longer stay - ref, micro. Location was good. Staff was helpful.
We had the one bedroom suite which was nice however , we couldn't check in till 500 pm which was a problem for us . It was ok service overall .
Came to NYC on my own so I wanted to make sure I stayed in a good hotel and this fit the bill
This hotel was really close to Times Square and other attractions. Our room was great , kitchenette was a big money saver - the kitchen supplies were really handy, and the room was clean and cozy. There was a grocery store a few blocks away that was good for picking up supplies and coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this to anyone very clean very updated close to everything in new yirk city clubs shopping everything near would come back again great service n perfect location
I basically hotel hopped throughout my stay in NYC, landing at Candlewood on the last night. I didn't get to take full advantage of the amenities, such as the stove and refrigerator, but wish I had. Next time I will stay longer so that I can. Also, every staff member I met was extremely friendly and professional, sharing important information about the hotel and city... and otherwise just going out of their way to make me feel welcome.
Clean and comfortable with nice amenities. Front desk staff was very nice. It was the best priced hotel within walking distance of Penn Station.
Front desk staff, Karlos, is rude, not helpful. Won't stay here ever again.
Came to the city to enjoy a quick getaway, perfect location for us. We could walk anywhere we needed.
Not a bad hotel but be aware of the no change or cancellation policy.
I was visiting the city for my 25th birthday with my boyfriend andcandlewood suites was a greta pick for a hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the room was a great size. The hotel was conveniently located only a block from the port authority, so it was easy to get to from my bus into the city. All in all, great experience.
Location is definitely the top "plus" for this hotel. My daughter and I wanted to be close to Times Square, as well as Penn Station and this spot fit the bill. We had pleasant, helpful encounters with staff, were very comfortable in our room, and felt safe. The kitchenette was well-supplied, even though we didn't really have time to use it much during our one night stay. I will recommend this affordable hotel to friends, and will definitely use it, again, for my own travel to NYC.
I paid a great rate and had a late check in, but was given a handicap accesible room on the first floor. Hot water did not work in the room and given the first floor location, it was very noisy and difficult to sleep. Honestly the accomodations I was given are not suitable to be renting out to guests. I made a commment to the staff as I was checking out and they seemed indifferent. I understand that when you get a budget price you often get a budget experience, but when I am staying at a national chain, I expect a certain standard which was not met by this property. Maybe the upstairs rooms are all fine, but do you want to take the risk?
We always like to stay here - it's within walking distance to Javits and there's a little Mexican takeout in the same block that has been rated one of the best deals in NY. The kitchenette is a great bonus. Just wish they'd sell the NY Times at their amenities store, and have postage stamps at the front desk for purchase! We tried to mail a postcard and were told to go to the post office.....
I would recommend Candlewood Suites Time Square to anyone headed to NYC. It was centrally located to most everything we wanted to do. What wasn't close was just a subway ride away! It's just around the corner from the Port Authority Bus/Metro Station. Also, it's right next door to 9th Ave and the great variety of food found in the He**'s Kitchen area. The staff was excellent and our room was very comfortable. The Candlewood and another hotel share a concierge and she made getting a shuttle to the airport a breeze. Try it, you will like it!
Location is really He11's Kitchen, not Times Square, though TS, theaters, Restaurant Row etc. are walkable. Close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. There's ACE subway access two blocks away but you have a long walk to the platform. Room has full size fridge, dishwasher, and a two-electric-burner stove. No maid service but laundry washer/dryer is free. Bed is pretty comfortable and shower is hot with good pressure. Closet is small but dresser/TV stand is a decent size for NYC.
