Very clean and comfortable property within a short walk of the beach and St John’s Pass. Will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Madeira bay resort, the hotel is close to restaurants, the beach and johns pass. The only bad part was that when we checked in the clerk stated you booked through a third party and we got the worst view in the hotel. We were in room 203 which faces the street and has two huge Palm trees right in front of the balcony. The room itself was decent, my only complaint with the room was that they had two old televisions and my son could not play his video game.
We spend the weekend with our two children - location is great, the beach is just across the street, Jon's Pass is 5 min walking..
Nice place to stay - basically you get a nice, fully equipped condo for the price of an average hotel room. We stayed in 1bdr 2 baths with a den - the kids were really happy to be in the den. I don't think you can find a better deal in the Madeira/Treasure Islands area, especially if you travel with children! The location is OK - yes, it is not directly on the beach but is just 5 min walk - across the street, not a problem at all. It is also less than 10 min walk to John's Pass - place to eat, drink and some souvenir shops.
When you first walk into the room, the overall appearance was good; stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, nice tile floor, carpeting and unit included a washer/dryer. The beds were horrific. Not only were they uncomfortable, they made so much noise when you moved; it sounded like they would fall apart. They were too short and small. Enjoyed the pool; didn't take advantage of the dining.
This is nice nice place to stay for a week or longer. Nice condo, full kitchen, etc. Great location - less than 5 min walk to the beach (just across the street), also 10 min walk to John's Pass - shops and places to eat/drink. Only the pool is small but not a big deal, the beach is just across the street!!

This was a great stay and very easy to walk to John's Pass. Very spacious and good price. Not overly fancy but very relaxing. Easy access to John's Pass and the beach. Would highly recommend.
I would definately recommend Madeira Beach to families with young children and to retirees over St. Pete Beach.who like it a little more quiet on the strip.
I dont mind paying a reasonable fee but this is out of line. Very nice condo but the pet fee and resort fee was as much as one nights stay!
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. For a family of 5 it was important to have enough space The 2 bedrooms were good size, the only complaint would be that there were not many drawers to put away clothes and the master bedroom closet was locked for the owners belongings so had to hang our things in the hall closet. The walk across the street to the beach was no big deal since the condo is located at the crosswalk. Great location for visitng John's Pass and not far from Crabby Bills which is a must for us! One downer was that since it was a condo rental, there was no daily maid service which we were not aware of prior to arriving. Definitely bring your own towels!
The hotel staff was less than friendly, replying to my question if the room had a view by saying "It's got a view of something!" The best thing about the room was the full kitchen, very convenient. The beds were uncomfortable with cheap sheets. The entire hotel smelled of mold and mildew- understandable when you put carpet in a beach motel!! However- the location was absolutely perfect.
Staff was friendly. Room was nice. The carpets needed a good cleaning. We would stay again. Short walk to st. john's pass and many resturants. Beach is right across the street.
Very near to John's Pass. Lots to do there, restaurants, shops, and watersports. However, not much to do near for nightlife. Hotel was great. Very clean. Hotel staff was on top of every thing. Pool and hot tub were warm and clean. Bay to fish off of. Just steps away from the beach. Everything I expected and more.
