I celebrate my boyfriends birthday There, concierge sent a cup cake and some balloons , your nice touch thank you

Great place for a weekend getaway for my wife and I. We try to get here at least a couple times a year for a refreshing weekend stay.

A good site Beautiful hotel Small room Good food Convenient site.

I expected a fantastic stay after reading reviews, but it couldn't have been further from the reality. We were placed in a room that looked very old and unkept, but I thought maybe the view might make up for that, but when I pulled the curtains open, all I could see was an air conditioning unit, trash, and maintenance equipment...no sign of the beach or paradise. The worst part of the room was the mold and mildew odor that was coming from the hallway, which I'm highly allergic to. In the hallway a fan was running to try and dry up some type of a leak or overflow, and in turn blew the smell towards my room. On top of the room being horrible, the resort nickel and dime you for everything. Just to go on the beach and use a chair, you had to pay a rental fee. I expected much more from a Loews property.

I chose to stay at the iconic Don Cesar for my wedding night. We had a king room overlooking the pool area. It was a very nice room and the bed was very comfortable. However, I was a little disappointed with how small the room was. It's a good thing we were only there for one night because otherwise it would've gotten very crowded very fast! The bathroom was similarly very cramped, with the towel storage in the shower. My only real complaint though was when we were getting in for the night to park. Our parking key didn't work and the ticket machine was jammed. We were stuck waiting for 10 minutes for someone from the front desk to come help us out. Overall a 4/5 stay.

We expected more from Loews. Keep in mind the building was built decades ago and it shows. The hallways are creepy, but the pool area and of course, mostly the beach, are great. The staff was a hit or miss. Either they were terrible, or really nice - however, I clearly remember the two nice ones, Otherwise, pretty bad customer service. It seemed as if they didn't care to help much. it was our anniversary and was memorable due to that and the beach ammenities - otherwise, in contrast we were blown away by the smaller hotel, The Hollander, which we tried in st. Petersburg - it didn't have as big bells and whistles as this one, but all the necessary things plus made you feel like family.

Love the history of the hotel and the ghost stories but rooms are small and other guest were extremely noisy. Nice band playing in the lobby bar, actually they were the best part of our stay. , enjoyed pool time intil a bunch of kids showed up splashing and screaming.

The Hotel itself was fantastic. We have made St. Pete beach an annual family vacation based on the amazing beaches, clear blue water, and great boardwalk atmosphere of the area. We have stayed at different hotels on St Pete and this was our first trip to the Don CeSar Hotel. We chose the hotel based on being the highest quality hotel on the beach which would hopefully offer a relaxing, not over crowded, and a very high level of service stay. 1. Relaxing - The Don hit the mark. Flawlessly clean, overly friendly staff, accommodating every need when asked. Shops in the building for quick pick ups, bars on premises, multiple restaurants all for convenience. 2. Crowds - The hotel was sold out the weekend of our stay and still offered us space to throw a ball in the pool, secure a chair at the pool or on the beach, and offer a perfect balance of people to associate with and our own personal space. Other hotels we have stayed at offered great amenities as well but also rendered the pools useless as the crowds were almost shoulder to shoulder in our experience. This is one factor that guided us to Don CeSar. 3. Service - Outstanding! You cannot beat the friendliness and availability of the staff. 1 open tab on your room allowed you to order food, drinks or anything else all around the pool and beach area. Flags provided on chairs to signal you require service, often unneeded as a host would be walking around cleaning tables, chairs, and engaging in conversation. You want service. Come to the DON. Advice - These amenities come at a cost. As a family sticking to a reasonable budget we had to be careful of our daily plans. The pool offers complimentary lounge chairs, service, and towels. Great environment. The beach however requires a fee to rent a chair, lounge, umbrella or cabana for day. $10 per chair and $15 umbrella adds up for a family if you play on staying at the beach. This was not a bad experience but if on a budget the beach will cost you. No alcohol on beach. Bars warned of $75 tickets for alcohol consumption on the beach. Resort fee of $25 per day will add up over time as well as parking. Valet is available but we opted for self park at $10 a day. Overall great experience. I would stay again in a heart beat. Other hotels may offer some of the above for free or included in the resort fee but you may experience huge crowds that will damper a rare family vacation. Be warned but save the extra money and enjoy all the perks at Don CeSar

Great location on the beach. Great history. Beautiful amenities. Accommodating staff.

The Don Cesar has always been a favorite! It as been beautifully refurbished since our last stay. The beachside restaurant had a great menu and we enjoyed creative twists on familiar dishes (e.g., crabmeat hush puppies which were delicious). The syaff as always is extremely service oriented and friendly.

Loved the hotel. rooms a bit small but still nice.

This is a beautiful hotel though it is old. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are smaller and no exhaust fan. We chose a king bed and I have never slept in a more comfortable bed. The pools are nice and right on the ocean. Staff was very friendly.

This was my husband's and my first vacation after our honeymoon, and we couldn't have chosen a better place! The resort is truly a gem, from the luxury and service to the history and uniqueness, we will definitely be going back throughout our lives!

Overall very good and I would recommend this hotel. The pools and St Pete Beach location are excellent. Food is good and reasonably priced for a resort. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and v. helpful. We had a car but you can get around to explore other beaches on trolley and taxi without one. Our room was very clean, updated and bright and we had partial beach view. Only negative was small size room and bathroom. Everything you need was squeezed in there but it was small (probably reflecting property's history) .

My friend and I had a great time. The room was clean and I did not hear my neighbors.

Great weekend with the family- great beach and pool setup. Service was second to none!...

My wife and I stayed at this location for a wedding. Even though this hotel is pricy its worth every penny.

Needed to get away before Summer's end. Chose the Don CeSar based on a long ago visit. Everything was perfect! The hotel is simply beautiful, the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. The beach and pool accommodations were outstanding. The weather was incredible, which I'm sure the Don ordered for us! Big thanks to everyone there. Looking forward to my next visit.

The Don is one of St. Pete's great landmarks which has been restored and maintained beautifully. There were a few glitches but overall an outstanding resort hotel. The restaurant, lobby, rooms, pool, and other amenities were all first rate. And the rate was reasonable given the quality of the hotel.

I went for a weekend getaway and it was so fantastic! It was a luxurious, but very relaxing setting right on the beach. Impeccable service from the Concierge to the wait staff to the spa staff and everyone in between! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to be pampered and stress-free! Also they decorated the hotel in such a beautiful way for the holidays. All around, really excellent.
