RumFish Beach Resort by TradeWinds

The hotel was nice. Older building but remodeled and very clean. Convenient location, close to stores and restaurants. I liked the smaller resort feel, our room was very close to the beach. Parking was convenient and close to rooms. Overall, great place to spend a long weekend if you just want to relax on the beach. One side note, I thought the resort fee was included in the room price, it was a little confusing. Turns out it isn’t, so don’t be surprised for the $50+ a night...

The staff was so friendly and super helpful I can not find anything to complain about. There was so much to do there between RumFish and Tradeswind.

Mixed reactions: property is aged, like a big 60s motel being nicely upgraded, but pricing was high. Very loud acoustics, could hear snoring, in neighboring rooms and all convos in hallways. Staff very friendly and helpful, but would start cleaning and repairs at 7:30 a.m., loud activity and voices. Bar drinks were very light and expensive. Amenities decent but mostly for young kids. Food good but mostly located at partner property. Overall: I would not return, spouse & older teen say they would.

Everything was great my kids had a blast we will definitely be back

Nice rooms close to beach plenty to do Expensive resort fees and food/drink

The cabanas and beach are great. The rooms are okay

Loved that there was an adult pool for those looking for rest & relaxation. All staff were extremely friendly, resort was very clean even the beach area was pristine. In close proximity to wonderful restaurants and the other Tradewinds resort. We will definitely be going back in the future and may even make it an annual event. I highly recommend the Tradewinds Sunset drink, our absolute FAV! :)

The property was great for kids - big slide, beautiful beach, pools.

Exhorbitant construction occurring during our 4 day stay. Very loud with little respite.

This was our second time staying at this resort so we knew it would be great...however from the minute we walked into the hotel...it just was not great. The smell in the lobby was spray paint mixed with musty old shoes. The hotel was undergoing construction. If I would’ve known that I would not have booked. They upgraded us to a great room, king size with ocean view. However as soon as we got up to the room, they called and said the room would be going under construction partway through our stay. So they moved us to another room with two double beds and ocean view. This room was hardly an upgrade. The room with the beds was so crammed you couldn’t even open the room without hitting the bed. The curtains were massive, dragging on the ground, absolutely filthy. The lamp shade was broken, the bathroom was dirty. The toilet didn’t work. My husband was able to fix it twice, maintenance was called but took over an hour to come to the room and by then my husband had already fixed it. The refrigerator leaked. There was barely any water pressure in the shower. The smell in the room was nasty too. Come the weekend there were no parking spaces. The front desk had called to see if they could do anything for us, but they had no other rooms available at that time. We likely will not be back to this resort.

Great place to stay with family, good services, amazing beach, close to hotel

This is the second time we have been to the outpost. Very friendly staff, accommodating to adults and kids. Pool is a little small but the beach is right there and you can walk over to the Tradewinds and use their pools as well. If you have young children, especially in strollers we would recommend booking a first floor walk out. A little more expensive but totally worth it.

The staff is wonderful and the beach is beautiful

Fantastically amazing with a cherry on top! I loved it the beach was amaizng and tha cobanas were super comfy. The slide that you could bo over to the other resort and use was super fun and the line was always short and it went bye really fast when it was short aswell. We only stayed there for the last 2 nights of our vacation but it was just enough. And there was tons of nice restraunts around there aswell i loved to walk across the street to go to the Baskin Robins!

Hotel was nice but lacked many amenities like a decent coffee shop and large pool. Hotel could also use some updating. Lobby and room decor is tired and worn. That said, suite was roomy, staff was beyond friendly and helpful and beach was gorgeous.

Overrcharged for amenities not available for use. Noisy, foul odor like sulfur, construction.

Thank you for the feed back and choosing our resort as your vacation destination. The Resort Amenity Fee (RAF) is a mandatory fee that all of our resort guests are required to pay. The RAF includes access to both properties, beach cabanas and beach towels, access to the paddle boats, tennis courts and both fitness centers. It also included many other family oriented activities and nightly S/mores at the Rumfish that I hope you and your family took full advantage. Chris Metro Guest Satisfaction Manager
