The front desk staff is very unwilling to answer questions… the stores and restaurants were not open during their posted times… the parking staff was the most helpful!! I loved the location and the beach was clean!! From the surface this place looks great but don’t stop and look at details.. you’ll be disappointed.

We liked that there were plenty of restaurants to choose from and lots of places between both the Rumfish and Tradewinds resorts to get adult beverages from. Lots to do. Went on the dolphin tour through Scuppers to Shell Key Island and Captain Chris and crew were awesome. They offered snacks and beverages which we didn't expect. Loved it. We appreciated that the chairs on the beach were included in the resort fee. We also liked that the adult only pool at Rumfish was much more secluded than the adult only pool at the Tradewinds resort. We didn't really like that as soon as checking in we were tried talking into a timeshare tour. We didn't expect the resort to be as big as it was and there was a lot of walking and exploring to figure out where things were. If you're wanting something more low key this isn't the place for you - especially if you are going without kids. The room wasn't very clean and with covid we expected better. After our first night we didn't even get room service and I had to call room service for towels. I'm guessing our room just got missed since we were on the end around a corner. The gift shop also closed very early - around 4-4:30pm which was kind of a bummer because we would have to find somewhere else to get bottles of water. All in all it was an alright place to stay. Location was good. Lots of other places to eat around the location. We'll probably stay somewhere else more lowkey next time in Clearwater/Sand Key Beach area.

Nice little spot to get away.

Staff are friendly and helpful.

Overall the hotel was good. We did start our stay with my family walking into a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. I think it was just an oversight. They did however accommodate us with a clean and updated room. My 6 year old absolutely loved every moment of our stay with all the activities. For the adults I would say, it was just ok. Beautiful beach, drinks were average and expensive. the restaurants on property were a good option if you didn’t want to leave. Weather was very windy and cold so that could have also dampened some of our day and limited us to what we could do. If you like the area, definitely the hotel to stay but I think I prefer a different part of Florida next time.

Rooms were not very clean. The beds are very small and our room said it sleeps 6. It would sleep 6 toddlers but even our kids were crowded sharing a bed.

For the price of the property, this is not a well kept hotel. I had to clean my own room daily, even went and bought my own cleaning supplies because it was so difficult to get a room vacuumed. I made my own beds and cleaned my own bathtubs on all days except 2 when I requested housekeeping to please bring towels and a vacuum so I could finish the cleaning. I had to call numerous times to get assistance. The drains in the room were very slow and shower drain backed up numerous time. Overall a 3.5/10. Definitely not worth 600 a night plus the 500 resort fee. Better to rent a place off the beach and use the public beaches in the area. Will not return to this resort.

Location, amenities

We loved all the amenities and my kids were well occupied. The place was clean and very convenient. We will definitely be back!

very nice

This is a fantastic place to stay with or without kids lots to do. Have been there a few times and will continue to go back

Great time with the kids! Lots for them to do!

I have been going to Tradewinds Resorts for over 8 years. I keep going back because you can’t beat their amenities. It’s affordable and they have everything you need. You don’t have to leave the property. Great variety of dining options and plenty of activities on site for the whole family to enjoy. I have always had an excellent room. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I don’t want to go anywhere else.

Relaxing properly on the beach with amenities included in the price of hotel stay.

Property is gorgeous and food/beverage service at all restaurants on both properties I visited was great. The extras like Aquarium, Touch Tank,Paddle boats, pool games and activities and the giant waterside kept the teens entertained the whole trip. The room showed some age (older bathtub and tile) and we had to call maintenance first day for a clogged toilet and broken refrigerator but they were quick to respond and everything was fixed in under an hour. So happy we rented the 1 bedroom balcony suite with kitchen; the view over the gulf and the nightly sunsets were worth every penny!! I will definitely go back!
