We booked RumFish as a last minute getaway with our children - we have never been to St Pete’s or Clearwater. Upon arrival, the check in process was easy. They do have daily resort fees and parking fees that aren’t negotiable, it would honestly be more appropriate if they just included these in the daily rate since it’s not like they get waived for anything. Our room was exactly as hoped and clean upon arrival. Room service was decent - some days they were super thorough and other times they would forget all the towels. Nothing major that can’t be remedied easily. We should note that the AC in our room was rattling and loud, it continued even after maintenance “fixed” it so my husband Jerry-rigged it with some paper towels. There were a couple nights where guests were excessively loud and disruptive at awful hours - like 2am and 4am. I don’t blame the resort since anyone can book but for a family resort, there was little follow through. The connection between RumFish and Island Grand is great - cabana rentals are easy and plentiful. We never had to wait for food or service at the activities and restaurants. The bartenders weren’t the most delightful - which I’m sure some drunken tourists can be exhausting but seriously, cheer up. Parking was easy, there is plenty to do in the area and check out was easy. They offer late check outs by hour as late as 6pm which is nice. They do not provide any sort of life jackets for kids so we’re thankful we brought our own. Overall, good!

It's a "pretty good" place. No major issues, but nothing was particularly impressive. Lots of add-on expenses not covered by the $50 faily resort fee. A bunch of construction going on next door and the parking lot/driveway was a mess. Beach was great, for sure.

Had lovely time on paddle boats, in the pools, and the shows were cute. The room wasn't cleaned well and every day they removed 4 used towels (there were 4 of us in our room) and replaced with 2. It got frustrating finding 2 more towels every night. Drinks and food were ridiculous prices!

Unfortunately, there was an event taking place with set up during our stay that impacted our overall experience. The last two days of our stay, the rum fish was completely shut down for the private party event that was coming in. We would not have stayed here if we had known this.

We had gotten an email before we left stating that there would be a few things shut down for a private event. What they didnt say was that rumfish was going to be impacted and things like food and drinks were not going to be available for the 2nd half of our trip and we would have to walk 2 buildings over for it. I feel that we were over charged for what we got and I plan on leaving multiple reviews with this information. For someone who booked two rooms, we should have had our rates reduced. Pretty unfair.
